So, now you're trying to tell me that Cromartie is as good as Revis? For being a "shutdown" corner, Cromartie gets picked on an awful lot even when Revis isn't playing.
The last time I did this....money! Look for Brad Smith in our Horntoad or whatever it is called. Also I have a funny feeling that Turner will earn his stripes early on...
I think the one thing we know about the NFL is that past success does not equate to future success. At least, Jets fans better hope that's true considering which team won both games last year.
So then Cromartie is not a shutdown corner, which means the Jets will have to alter their defensive strategy.
wait...so being considered a shutdown corner AUTOMATICALLY makes that player "as good" or "better" than Revis? are you really this fucking stupid?
The Jets did alter their defensive strategy when Revis went out. It resulting in dominating the Patriots offense which is leaps and bounds better than the Dolphins offense.
Are there different levels of "shutdown"? If someone has the ability to completely negate the other team's best receiver, then that would obviously make that person as good as Revis. It's not like Revis breaks up a pass, then leaves the stadium for a moment to stop a mugging before defusing a bomb and rescuing a woman tied to a train track.
i wanna see more shonn greene, we all know he can bust a big one with enough carries. LT and greene = jets thunder and lightning
Yup, I saw 6 catches when Cromartie was anywhere near. 4 when he was covering, while one TD. Just like the stats mentioned. The vid mentioned 18 catches on Cromartie...right.
