I dont think this will be one of those " any given sunday" games where the dolphins sneak off a win. This game its gonna go according to paper (not the crazy experts picking the dolphins) favoring our good matchups giving us a 24-10 JETS score. Sanchez will do well again playing without a leash throwing 2+ TDS, with NO PICKS but the running game will be the best part of the game setting up big scores and LT or Shonn Greene delivering a spectacular TD. Cromartie will get another pick, along with one of our safeties. Henne will not look good in this game, couple of wildcat scares but forced punts will cancel out the good runs from miami.
Jets-42 Dolphins-3 (The field goal comes with 7 minutes left in the game, down 35-0, and they kick the field goal to avoid the shutout not even considering winning)
I think this will be a relatively high-scoring game. Probably in the 20s. That's why I don't like our chances if our wideouts are Cotchery and Smith. We won't be able to stretch the defense and run the ball effectively that way. My guess is that we'll be losing at half-time by a couple scores and then Edwards will come out. If Sanchez is able to engineer a comeback we will win. 1st Half Jets 7 LT gets first TD Miami 7 Pick-Six Miami 14 Brandon Marshall gets first TD Miami 17 Field Goal 2nd Half Jets 14 Dustin Keller scores TD Miami 20 Field Goal Jets 21 Braylon Edwards scores TD
That is from Jerome Bettis off Sports Illustrated site...regardless of score I happen to agree with him!!
I feel like Edwards is going to have a HUGE game even with sitting out a drive. He played real well against Miami last year and he will want to silence doubters.
Wow, everyone here thinks it's going to be a cakewalk against the Dolphins? In all likely it'll come down to who has the ball last. Both defenses have played well so far, it still remains to be seen which offense gets going first and whether they maintain it throughout the game.
What do you feel will likely lead to the outcome? - Do you think Sanchez will continue his play like he did against the Patriots? Will your off cord keep the playbook open for Sanchez? - Haven't checked the league stats, I know LT is doing well so far, but how is your running game overall for this season so far? Is it something you feel you can rely on against the Fin's D? Sorry, this doesn't seem to let me attach quotes. These questions are for NDmick..
It's going to come down to the QBs, because the run games will be held in check. Yes, Schotty is the one who either makes Sanchez look good by letting him make plays, or chains him and makes him look indecisive. If they let him make plays, he's damn impressive. The outcome will be turnover battle and QB play.
The Dolphins could win, they are not a good as the Jets. Not close really. However, they were not as good last year either but won both games. Game 1 in a final possession TD in which many on the defense admitted it was their worst performance and the other with 2 Ted Ginn kick returns (he is gone) and a Jason Taylor fumble return for a TD thats 21 of their 30 points in a 30-26 win. Anything is possible like I said, but I am sticking with 42-3 Jets.
