2/3 with 5 RBI tonight. His OPS is now over .900 since his swing was retooled.

Steinbrenner's monument twice the size of Ruth and Gehrig's.

And Hal's wife is really cute.

Yeah, when I saw the monument I was like "Of course..." Though I would assume it wasn't George himself that built it that size. Probably his sons, and I know I would build the biggest one for my father, given the chance.

Hal's wife is definitely easy on the eyes.

Really great ceremony, followed by a satisfying game. Though I really couldn't understand bringing in Gaudin when Girardi did. Play for the win, or don't, but stop flip-flopping.

Granderson was pretty impressive last night. That was some shot off the foul pole.

I was at the game last night. A terrific atmosphere - felt like a playoff game. Loved every minute of it.

2 RBI double by Cano off of Choate, and that should do it.

Yeah I was a little "Huh!?!" hearing that last night too. WTF is this, Boston? Show a little class Yankees fans. We're better than that.

Anyway, better by Hughes but he still needs some more work. On a good note, he seemed to throw his secondary pitches with more confidence last night, which is a very good sign.

Joba was impressive too. I was as stunned as Kay when he threw that breaking pitch for strike 3. It was weird too because I was sitting there thinking "If I was the catcher I'd call for a breaking pitch right here for a big K." I was shocked that not only did Posada call for it, but Joba executed a nasty one!

I have to give some credit to Berkman as well. I gave him shit yesterday but last night he drove in important insurance runs.

Question: what happened to Moseley? I haven't heard his name at all in a while. Obviously he was out of the rotation when Andy came back, given that Nova has been impressive, but is he in the pen? I haven't seen or heard his name at all lately.

he's in the bullpen. Remember, it's an expanded roster.

He hasn't been used since being bumped from the rotation.

I figured he'd go to the pen, but then he just fell off the face of the Earth. I would have figured he'd get an opportunity to pitch before, say, Gaudin or Mitre. I thought maybe he was hurt or something.

Gaudin can come in and get a strikeout if there are runners on, and Girardi has an unexplained man crush on Sergio Mitre.

    There's no room for Moseley.

There's no room for any of them after last night.

And again, is Girardi trying to win the division or not? If he is, then act like it. If he's not, rest everyone and let AAA kids play. The magic number is only 3. They'd have to try harder not to make the playoffs.

Oh, and seeing Granderson's dive really made me cringe. I love the athleticism, but not in a game you've conceded by letting Gaudin pitch early and long.
