No you fool. If the law wants to put him in jail, that's fine but it has absolutely nothing to do with the NFL.
some of you guys are hypocritical as shit. i bet everyone in here has drived buzz and probably over the legal limit..and still does on occasion. So cut the holier than thou bullshit. Just because you drive over the legal limit doesn't automatically mean you're incapacitated. There a zillion variables, and while people shouldn't get behind the wheel most of the time, everyone knows at least 1 person or IS that 1 person that can have a few beers and drive just as well as they do sober. For those people, the problem only arises when they get pulled over for an unrelated violation (expired tags, window tints, broken headlight/taillight). There's a large divide between the "legal limit" and it's effect on coordination and motor skills. Even .16 isn't "wasted"..and for you guys using the stupid calculator there's a million different factors that determine how drunk you are. People's body's metabolize alcohol at different rates. It's not always weight dependent Now, the fact he didn't have a driver *is* retarded. he deserves 100% blame for that.
And if you are over 45 you probably drove drunk(by the legal definition) at least 3 or 4 times a week and never gave it a second thought.
I remember reading an article a couple months ago about how now that that whole Cleveland assault incident is behind him he can finally focus more which will lead to less drops. ugh..
I don't care what team the perp plays for, if he barrels down another human being, wrong is wrong. This is bigger than football so stop playing childish games of "your team did it, so it's ok". Grow up.
after 954 post, Lets just sum up this WHOLE THREAD. Braylon Edwards Screwed Up. He Will face the consequences and this will be forgot about in about 3 or 4 weeks. All we are doing in this thread is repeating each ohter, just using differnt words.
Sad thought it may be that many people still drink and drive, this does not make it ok to do. It just means those people are drunks and alcoholics who need to sort out their fucking lives. I'm sorry, but there is absolutely no defense for drinking and driving. None. Not even a few, not extenuating circumstances, you drink and drive, you are in the wrong. Especially when you can afford a limo to take you everywhere. And you are double the legal limit. It's almost Plaxico-dumb.
well, if that is your criteria for acceptable behavior, considering he didn't barrel down anyone means you have no issue with what Braylon did, yet you clearly do by the rest of your posts. you obviously don't mean the logical repercussion of your own statement, which means you are obviously not bright enough to even grasp the positions you take.
From the article Last I heard Edwards wasn't the team President. Lewand also isn't in the players union and doesn't get their protection. If they treat Edwards differently for this incident than other players I am sure the NFLPA will have something to say about it.
