The five-man Patriots running back committee is down to three men and a Woodhead.

Laurence Maroney was dealt to Denver, and it looks like third down back Kevin Faulk could be out a while. His knee injury against the Jets wasn't pretty and Tom Curran of Comcast Sports New England says "early indications" are that the Patriots will be without Faulk for a long stretch.

If he's out, don't be surprised to see Edelman in that 3rd down pass-catching role.

You're playing the Bills. Half the team could be out and you'd still be favored.

Faulk has been killer for you guys for a LONG time. This could be bad for NE.

    Faulk owned 3rd downs.

    Tough loss.

Faulk is the only meaningful back on that team. They could even lose to Buffalo without him.

I think this offense has enough weapons to make up for some of what he gives, but the man is money in big situations, and it would be a big loss.

Mostly, I'm worried about the young D...

I'm not sold on Miami yet. Good D, but the offense is pretty poor IMO.

I kind of feel like the entire AFC East is having a really hard time with injuries this season. Except the Bills. Everyone is healthy in Buffalo.

Patriots especially, though. They've lost some key contributors.

whats hilarious is that the bills are healthy but they suck.

everyone else is hurt and their depth is holding down the fort.

You could put the two best remaining players from each of the Patriots, Jets and Dolphins on IR and each team would still be better than the Bills.

I'd say I feel bad for that team, but ya know what? They've had a million chances to properly improve and they've neglected all of them. What a garbage franchise.

Wow tough break for Pats, it didn't look like it was that bad of a fall but he usually gets right back up and I assumed it was bad when he didn't. he's been a Jet killer for years (I even mentioned it last week) it's a shame. he just quietly does his thing without ever really getting any mention of being a huge contributor.

Thats a tough loss. Faulk has emboided what the Pats have been for a long time. Versitle, Hard working, and Low key. He's been a key contributior to them for ages. Sad to see him go down, even if he is a fucking patsy.

    Well that sucks...

Julian Edelman, third down back? They worked him back there in camp a bit. It could happen.
