Last year I didn't question discipline under Rex Ryan. This year, you almost have to. The cheeseburger incident, Inez Sainz, and all of the 15yd penalties in the two games. Rex Ryan needs to get control of this thing before it spirals out of control and the Jets become the new Bengals.

He was twice the legal limit but he wasn't overly drunk..are you kidding me. I don't care what he means to the Jets he needs to miss the game this weekend.

I would rather the Jets lose on sunday night then for him to play & honestly if we can't be the Phins without him then were not that good.

Fuck that, our passing game needs Braylon right now. If the league thinks he deserves a suspension so be it. If the conduct policy says he doesn't warrant a suspension then don't suspend him. This isn't a morality contest... if the rules say he shouldn't be suspended then don't suspend him. How bout we use the weapons we have to win some football games??

I totally disagree with you. "other issues" - what the F does that mean?

You don't really draw a connection between the Dougie and DUI's, do you?

**BREAKING NEWS** NY Jets are not waiting for the NFL to suspend Braylon Edwards : They are in the process of suspending him immediately

Not the most reliable guy, but not a hard to believe statement.

From what I understand if this is his first offense, and we don't know for sure if it is or isn't as that is a confidential program (atleast until it reaches suspension for substance abuse), but if if is his first offense then the Current agreement with the Players association doesn't allow a suspension for the first offense. So if the league suspends him we know it's not his first offense, if it doesn't suspend him then we know it was his first offense for substance abuse...which under the current agreement with the union is seperate from peronal infractions.

Either way, unless the Jets do something in house against him I doubt the league does anything for atleast 2 weeks, at which point we'll have Holmes in the fold.

THe whole Dante StallWorth thing was a bit ridicolous. Yes Dante was drunk, BUT the guy RAN in the street.

That could happen to any of us!!!!!! We have no control over what another pedestrian does. If he was Drunk or Not....that person was going to die sadly.

hahahahahahaha. send a message to the team?

the players don't give a shit about this run in with the law.

the team wants to win against the 2-0 dolphins, we need edwards in the game.

he had a phenomenal game against them in our first meeting last year.

edwards plays sunday and goes boozing with ines sainz after the game, rex2009 guarantees it..

I think any suspension (if there is one) shouldn't begin until week 5. Having both starting WRs suspended at the same time isn't fair to the team or the fans.

To this day, I don't understand why celebrities drive themselves. Isn't that a perk to being famous...not having to drive yourself?
    I'm sure Braylon has a f'n entourage - where's his Turtle?!

If we don't suspend him, is it going to hurt our image?

    No

Plus the Jets have a program where a player can call and get a ride home, no questions asked.

    A couple of thoughts:

It must be so rediculously rare to get arrested for drunk driving in Manahattan (unless you are in an accident). I mean I have never even seen anyone get puilled over for anything. I have seen people blow through traffic lights, hit pedestrians, hit bikes, etc right in front of cops and they don't pay attention.

The only time in 20 years in Manhattan I have ever seen police involved in a traffic violation (except accidents obviously). is when a cab driver hit a horse with a cop on the horse. In that case the cop went balistic. But it was his horse so I can understand. The horse was fine, just grazed.

My biggest gripe is with the cops that were hardasses on Edwards. Pulling him over for tinted windows! Then they "smellled alcohol". Thanks for f-ing up your city's team's chances. A-hole. Probably a giants fan?
