Jets' wide receiver Braylon Edwards was busted on a drunken driving charge early this morning, after cops pulled him over on the West Side and found he had double the legal limit of alcohol in his system, police said. Edwards, 27, was arrested at 5:15 a.m. and charged with DWI, after cops pulled over his Range Rover at 34th Street and 12th Avenue for having overly-tinted windows. Police said they smelled alcohol and Edwards blew a 0.16 on a Breathalyzer, or double the state's legal limit of 0.08. A passenger was with Edwards but it doesn't appear they were charged. Edwards is currently in police custody, and will be arraigned later today. It isn't the first time Edwards has run afoul of the law. In October, just before he was traded to the Jets from the Browns, Edwards punched a friend of LeBron James outside a Cleveland nightclub. Well..No Revis, and Cotchery as our #1 this Sunday. I don't see this going well. I guess this is the price you pay when you take risks on low character guys.
Dayum. Maybe he was just trying to get into the Dolphins' heads a little. He's learning how the Dolphins think by spending time in jail.
Just thinking the same thing. Tweeted twice this AM, maybe this report is BS. Boomer and Carton are talking about it, but I see nothing else online.
BTW, someone needs to change the title of this thread to 'Braylon Edwards arrested' or something. Shaun Ellis got arrested a couple of seasons ago and he didn't serve his suspension until the next season.
Generally speaking, if you get a DUI youre in custody for at least 8 hours. According to boomer, he was arrested @ 5:15AM. No way he's out.
The good news here is that Miami D has a horrible time with pass catching TEs. It's going to be a big game for Keller. Besides that though, I see a lot of Greene, and LT. (J-Co, Keller, Smith, Clowney)
