I like everything about this kid. He seems to have a great motor and he looks really confident. I'm looking forward to how he develops. I think we have a star in the making.
Wilson had a reral solid game and great 2nd half. He shut down Welker on Cromartie's interception. Brady looked to Welker and changed his mind since he was blanketed and aired it to Moss. Cro got the stat but Wilson played a huge role in that turnover.
I think Wilson played very well against Baltimore as well but his performance was tarnished by a couple of pass interference calls that could have gone either way. The only terrible play I noticed yesterday was when he completely whiffed on what should have been an easy sack of Tom Brady, that was ugly.
I think that the first week performance was a result of penalty happy refs. He's great and he's only going to get better as the season goes on. He'll be instrumental in shutting down Manning in the playoffs.
There was a play very early on where Kyle Wilson sealed the edge on a toss play, shed his block and wrapped up the running back for no gain. That is what I want to see out of the nickelback. Tom Brady made a very athletic play to avoid a K-Dub sack, too. I'm very happy with Kyle Wilson so far.
That will never happen again. I'd bet dollars to donuts that the next time he's that close he throws the shoulder into the rib cage.
I was just shocked at the impact that McCourty was having for the Pats. Even the announcers were saying the Jets tried to keep the ball away from em the entire game. Which I found pretty surprising since I thought Wilson was supposed to be a notch above him.
To give credit to Aaron Hernandez he looks very much to be their new "keller". As I said going into the season Keller will have a huge/breakout year. Hernandez will likely have his in the couple of years if not sooner considering who's throwing him the ball. If other defenses every figure out that Tom hates be hurried or pressured/touched the :gpc: will be upon us much sooner. I guess having the right personnel and coach would help those teams do it.
I think Hernandez will be the better of the two, but Gronkowski is a very talented player and he plays with heart. He may end up getting injured more than average, or he may end up being healthy for a good stretch and help them dominate on offense. His brother made some nice plays for the Cowboys yesterday at the fullback position.
Wilson was facing the better passing game and if McCourty had Cro and Revis out there he would be getting thrown at too. I have to admit he did look good though, but it's not like they were scared to throw to him, they were just more confident in the other matchup.
McCourty and Wilson were the two CBs we all wanted... they'll both have good careers... hopefully Wilson's one is better though . That said what's mind blowin is the fact Jackson went before both of them!!!
Should be interesting to see how we use our corners to cover Marshall. I see us rotating guys there so we can keep Henne off guard.
The first game Wilson wanted so bad to prove that he belonged that he was biting too hard on the first move. Ravens saw this and ran double moves and were 3 yards ahead of him downfield. Rex obviously had a pep talk with the kid and told him that he belongs and to calm down.
Can anyone tell me how dwight lowery played this game as well. I dont remember seeing or hearing anything about him.
Thats good to hear I didnt notice him so i was afraid he didnt see much of the field but with Revis' injury I guess it would be impossible for him not to
