I honestly don't see him playing this week. We saw what happened when he just felt "tightness" in his hammy, and now it's pulled. Even if the MRI comes out positive, he'll still have to rest before he can practice at full capacity.

Why do you care? As long as people aren't calling him M$vis, I don't.

To be honest it's because I'm best friends with a trainer that used to hang out with his Mom's gynecologist. So it's personal to me.

In Marshall's last 3 games vs. Cromartie he has 3 catches for 31 yards with no touchdowns while Cromartie is covering him. Last time he even had a game vs. him was week two of 2008 when he had 4 catches for 43 yards and a TD. He also happened to ruin San Diego's whole defense that day.

I'm not overly concerned, to be honest.

I understand if he is not fully healed I would not want him out there to possibly worsen the injury but if he is good to go after a week of rest why keep him out for 2 more weeks as some have suggested.

This is a WR corp that the Jets can handle. I know Marshall is out there but their offense as a whole isn't impressive.

Let's get the savior back to health so he can rise and embarrass more WRs.

The thing that scares me is that they burned us last season even with Revis in the lineup, and without Marshall in theirs.

It was a shitty zone coverage that got split, and the blame gets shared between Rhodes and Revis.

I think the defense learned their lesson, and Ginn is gone right? they have no shot.

Also, ST will never have their guys not dressed ever again. Lot of lessons learned last year.

i am fine with revis sitting for miami and buffalo. Put Cro on Marshall this week and see what the Phns can do. It will probably be the running game we will need to shut down more than the passing game.

Buffalo is currently beyond dysfunctional, but they play us tough all the time. Just don't make mistakes and play kill the QB in that one.

If he really has a second degree strain the prescription to heal it is 3-6 weeks of therapy and rest. Even then he'll be at a heightened risk to re-aggravate it at some point during the season.

He's not going to be really back to being himself until he has the offseason to rest followed by the normal conditioning process of training camp.

We'll be fine. Double team Marshall and watch Henne implode.

IMHO I dont think Revis will be back until after the bye week. No point in rushing Revis back just to have him pull it again. Let him rest it and have him back 100% for the home stretch.

Let that hammy heal up. Miami and Buffalo aren't overly efficient in the passing game and ultimately a healthy Revis will do us more good against pass-happy teams later in season.

Hope you are wrong. 1 or 2 weeks is a hell of a big difference than 6 weeks.

Your post is the first I have heard of anything taking that long. Off season?!?!? You must be joking, or should be.

    http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/307765-treatment

This is the clinical description of the phases of a hamstring strain.

Edit: oops, almost forgot the punchline.

Now obviously intense sports medicine can speed things up, but every time the strain is re-aggravated it becomes more complicated to deal with and the problems caused are increased.
