Other than the 41-0 rout of the Colts I have never seen the Jets play a more complete half of football against a quality opponent.

Even the famous Drew Coleman made some solid tackles to stifle running plays. Keller got his head out of his ass, Sanchez had career game, Braylon no drops, LT looked like 2005 form, Cromartie shut down Moss, amazing.

I wish I didn't drink so much yesterday, thankfully I recorded the game so I can rewatch the second half. I don't remember going to bed but the bottle was empty when I woke up.

    ugh.

Good God someone went to town last night ...

Execution, that IMO was our biggest flaw last season, making the correct calls, and executing them to perfection

Amazing game, Sanchez couldn't be stopped, LT was lighting up the Patriots defense and of course, Nick Folk making FGs you got to love it

I don't know about 2002, we've had some good games and halves, but boy did we need that one.

You are forgetting the rout of the Packers the week before that began early in Q2 after the Vinitieri field goal meant we were fighting for a playoff spot.

How does it compare to the first half against Arizona in 2008 (34-0) against an opponent that ended up going to the Superbowl that year? Yesterday was dominant without doubt.

Yeah I think the difference is this felt like a MUST win game (it wasn't) but that has to be the most dominant half I can recall.

Even Gholston was visible, stuffing some runs and generating a little bit of pressure on Brady.

    Awesome.

An article on the Boston Globe website says that the Jets have outscored the pats 38-7 in the second half since Rex Ryan became head coach.

It's up there, but the 2nd half of @Tennessee in 2008 to end their undefeated record was massive.

The problem with that one is that we proceeded to lay an egg in subsequent weeks.

This has to be the best. Without our top 3 players on defense, ie, Revis, Jenkins and Pace we manhandled those jerks. It was amazing and showed what great coaching can accomplish.

Yes, Vernon Gholston is finally turning into a football player. I have never been happier to be wrong about a project player.

He looked okay last week and much better yesterday, hopefully he continues to improve.

Funny, but I was watching Cleveland/KC yesterday and as usual, I watched Mangenius not make any halftime adjustments and had that same look on his face. The Jet CS did the best job of making adjustments at halftime in recent memory regarding this team. They not only shutdown WW, but they attacked the opponents weakest spot instead of their strength. That would be the Patriot secondary although I think LT/Greene combined rung up a duece on them as well on the ground.
All in all, great job adjusting and abandoning what wasn't working. I was truly impressed with the 2nd half NYJ's!!.

Please, just let this be the beginning instead of an abberation..

I just rewatched the second half. Man - we were playing with some serious swag yesterday. If they keep that tempo up it will be tough for any team to beat them.

Ab...you weren't wrong, at the time.

Gholston was a very poor draft pick to play 3-4 OLB and will never succeed as a OLB...bad decision by Mangini.

Gholston is a true 4-3 DE, and Rex is using him wisely. It's just a shame we had to waste a #6 pick for him.

I'm aware of that. But were discussing a single half of football not a quarter of a season.

  20. That's the half that came to mind. The Jets dominated the second half, but that Arizona game (against a team that ended up winning the NFC) was just laughably dominant.
