I noticed Wilson really seemed to have a pretty nice game. Aside from that missed sack he looked very solid and bounced back from last week. The play that really jumped out at me as his deflection in the 4th quarter I think it was.

That tight end had a step on him and he accelerated and made a nice play and swatted the ball away. I'm actually surprised New England didnt try to pick on him a lot more.

    What does everyone else think?

That deflection on Hernandez was because the ball was under thrown. If Brady had put it infront of him it would have been a catch. He did better this week than last and he's doing alright. Still has to improve but he's about where we should expect him to be which is good.

Wilson actually looked totally lost prior to the snap on the play in question.

I thought he had an up and down game. It's also his second game in the league.

I agree, he played better than last week hopefully this is a trend and next week his progression will continue.

I didn't notice him much in the 2nd half, meaning he was doing his job. I think he could do a better job of wrapping up the WR after the catch, but for being thrown right into the fire playing man coverage his play has been encouraging. I think he'll only get better.

Don't mean to get off topic here but did anybody notice Pool AT ALL besides his INT? How did he do?

he didn't play the whole game.

I forgot who got hurt for him to come in. It might have been smith.

    He did fine.

Wilson did fine. We are spoiled at CB due to Revis, and we can't expect everyone to be lockdown like him. For a rookie he's doing fine. He's not a total liability like Drew Coleman (who had a nice tackle today).

CB is a skill position, he is going to need most of the season to really grow into his own.

Overall I think he did well. The defense had some miscommunications again like last week but that should get fixed w/ practice. Yea, he should have killed Brady!!!But, once the d can get lined up correctly, we will be just fine ;)
Nice to see him on KR's too.

How's he coping with being thrown in the deep end with one on ones from game one?

Giventhe number of jobs and volume of information heaped on him, both being a nickel and an outside CB, I'm mostly pleased. He hasn't been great, but even Revis was Baby Lockdown before he was God

Question for you. Does your Jets fandom precede draft day or is this a new found thing? I know you all are from NJ.

Not looking to rip on you, just curious. Love to have your point of view around here.

    Any Rookie CB will struggle....

that said, this guy is a STUD!!!!! game set match, this guy is great.

And watch, He's going to return a kick soon... Not sure if they take that away from him with revis out and more workload.

i thought he looked much better than last week. i got high hopes for wilson. he definitely shows that he has what it takes to be a great corner in this league. sure, he misses some little things but thats expected from a rookie. i believe by the end of the season he will be looking like a big time nfl corner out there

I was pleased to see him get his head turned around more in this game. He looked very poor in the Ravens game.

I might disagree with Jake here...the reason you didn't notice Wilson in the second half is because Brady kept going to Moss and Welker sat on the bench. So Wilson was on Hernandez and Tate, two rookies and Edelman. I might be wrong here but that big Hernandez reception over the middle may have been Wilson coverage...I may be completely wrong here.

But anyway, Wilson didn't necessarily have a tough challenge.

90% increase from the first game. He ALMOST had a sack on Brady, but Brady pulled a savvy Vet move, and ducked. He was lockdown coverage half the game, and slapped a few passes away.

I have a good feeling about this kids future.

He'll soon learn to tackle low, but many seasoned veteran CBs around the league misses that sack also.

As gay as he is, that was just a beautiful move by Brady.

Both Wilson and Cro stepped up big time when Revis went out. I thought Wilson had a terrific 2nd half.
