I was just about to post this. When asked if he thinks he will play next week, he said, paraphrasing, "I'm not sure, it's not a serve injury, just have to be smart about it."
Even though I don't like the prospect of not having him against Brandon Marshall, I agree. He is great but not so great that he can shut guys down if he is playing at 75% and if he was go aggravate the injury to the point that he misses extended time, we're fucked.
I see you have stepped up your jackassery today. Bravo keep it up you are well on your way to being the least knowledgeable this year too. Do us all a favor and crawl into your SOJF hole and die.
I'm pretty sure they are planning on waiting until he's healthy to play him... I really want to see a healthy Revis vs Marshall
The usual Suspects would have been hanging Revis euphemistically from the highest flagpole in the new Meadowlands
This is what happens when you hold out for more money...then come back and try to cram a months worth of preparation in one week.
how dare anybody be pissed about Revis poor play today. How dare anybody mention the fact that he was not ready to play football b/c he decided to skip OTAs and TC as part of a salary renegotiation strategy. his hamstring problem is pretty obviously the result of his lack of preparation. it cost us a TD today. and it may cost us more in the next 2 weeks. we were told that he could just come back in on 1 wk of practice and be ready to go - that was Bull.
I agree with the OP... Revis needs to sit until he's good to go 100%. We're assuming that this defense can play to a level to make the playoffs with or without Revis so if thats the case then we'll want him completely ready to go when that time rolls around. Be cautious with him, and ease him back in.
Would you get over this utter bullshit already? It is a hamstring injury, fast players get these. He has had them the last 2 years and he will probably get them in subsequent years. He was playing well last week and this week until the play he got hurt. Get over it already or are you going to blame Taylor's elbow injury on the fact he was late to 2 practices.
if you are unable to see the difference between a bruised elbow and a pulled hammy on a player that choose not to particpate in practice until a wk b4 the season - thats up to you. The facts are that he wasn't ready to go and it has negatively impacted the team.
