Not gonna lie, I was. Jets played a hell of a fucking game today. How the hell do you get better when Revis goes out?
Its simple... best player at his position playing hurt = hurting the performance of the unit he's with. Comes out of the game = unit gets better.
And for those of you saying "well, look at the margin of victory..." The dolphins don't win games by 20 points, and they don't lose them by 20 points. Fins games are almost always grinders, whether they're playing the Colts or the Bucs.
I mean this with the utmost respect for Ryan, as I actually agree with you. But, this will probably offend you, I think he's the second best in the league. I promise, this is a compliment.
I thought we would lose this week, so I'm clearly not good at picking games......however, I think we will match up well with Miami this year.
I'd say both teams will be hard-pressed to score. Nolan and Ryan will throw everything at each other in this one. However, knowing typical unpredictable nature of Dolphins/Jets games, I don't think any of us will be shocked if like last years Monday Night game, both teams score in the upper 20s lol
That's fair. For a second, I thought you were gonna say "Mike Nolan" and I was gonna have to freak out.
Before the Moss TD Revis had surrendered 1 reception for 4 yards. The difference was that after Revis came out of the game, the Jets didn't blitz nearly as much and adjusted their coverages. And it worked.
sundays honeymoon is over lets get this discussion going. I could care less about the yardage Minnesota put up and all that, the fact is the Dolphins D came up big when it mattered for that you cant dismiss. One thing you can see though is that the Miami Pass Offense is pretty pathetic even with Marshall. They usually have a good rushing attack but so far the Jets have been SHUT DOWN on rushing D against Balt. and NE. This game is a much much better matchup for the Jets than Baltimore and NE, however I will say Miami is very physical and that could help them as they beat around some of the Jets more finesse players. I am also not completely drinking all the kool aid from yesterday's win even though it was SICK. However I honestly see a shut out as quite possible because of Miami's offensive woes and the Jets matching up well with them. Hopefully Revis will play but the fact they ONLY have Marshall will help either way as Cromartie can guard him WITH help. NY Jets 14 Miami 3 classic Rex Ryan type win
