as far as i'm concerned, the jets bailed on woodhead...why would you fault him for getting a job with the pats?

Exactly. What do you expect? He should just sit at home and be loyal to the Jets? If you have a chance in this league, you take it. Good for him. I hope he makes their team and sucks against the Jets and kills everyone else. He'll probably never see the field though.

Maybe we are secretly sending wrong plays on purpose to the Pats via Woodhead.

If he signed toady, then knowing our playbook isn't going to help much 24 hours away from kickoff. They've been gameplanning all week.

Belichick is a pain in the ass. He signed him to get whatever information he could about the Jets offense. Specifically what all the checks mean and things like that. It's 24 hours before the game and now the Jets coaching staff has a lot of work to do to make sure that the pats defense can't pick up on line calls and checks by sanchez. If he had signed him on Monday the Jets would have had a full week to make changes. This is typical BB being a scumbag. The Jets should not have cut anyone for Clowney.

I agree with BB being a scumbag in general, but this is something all teams do, including the Jets.

The roster plucking is what annoys me. And that I think Woodhead was a versatile backup that the Pats will use more effectively than we did. If they don't cut him after this weekend, that is. I don't fault Woodhead, unless he actually had a choice of another team being interested. If that was the case and he chose the Pats, then F him.

Anyone laughing is ignoring that the Pats are one of the teams most capable of using Woodhead effectively as a pass catching back. I doubt he sticks, but he very well could find a niche in their system a la KF.

    Agreed.

I thought Woodhead was a good player and I think the Jets are going to miss him.

How does it work when a player goes to a new team anyway, do the coaches just come up to him and ask him about the Jets and then cut him after?

Woodhead was not even an average player. He's only been on the playing field during actual regular season game time only a handful of times. Plus, signing so late in the week, his impact on the field the Sunday will be minimal at best, if he even dresses. As much as I hate to see a former player sign with a division rival, let us not forget that our team played the same card last year when they signed Kevin O'Connell right before we played the Patsies.

It is potential production when one of our guys gets injured. He was great insurance. Someone who knows the system and played well in training camp.

    splatter him...Harris! ...

"Rudy" did acquit himself during the pre-season (Clowney should've shown half his value-whatever), but this lil' munchkin is not gonna have any bearing on the game....the game plan's already in place. imho.

    Rex: kill Brady.

    Bill: protect Brady.
