http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/nflstonline/overview Just wanted to make sure this was put back up for those that don't mind paying a few bucks for it... I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on it today...anyone do this yet? Rooting for a Patsie stomping tomorrow babieeeeeeee!!!!
LOL....some of us aren't as lucky as you to be able to either A)afford DirecTV w/Sunday Ticket or live in the greater NY Metro area. lol lol
I live in NY. You know you can buy a cable from radioshack/bestbuy to put in your computer to television? I can ask my brother what the name of the cable is..I watch movies online for free all the time, and just plug it into my big screen.
The one guy in the other thread about this that actually ordered the service complained of lag. Has anyone else ordered this service?
i dunno i use a laptop, but if you search at youtube.com there are like 100different videos of people showing you how to do this. you could probably find a video similar to your scenario.
I'm in Michigan and my dad has DTV so I just get the to-go thing which is essentially the same thing you'd be getting here. Make sure you have a good internet connection....the one where I'm living sucks and it freezes a lot and such. Luckly, I also have a slingbox so I can get the game pretty good anyway. If you have a computer and a TV with an HDMI hookup, I suggest you use that. I was able to watch last Sunday's game on the TV in pretty good quality.
I have Directv and standard Sunday Ticket, and they threw in the computer service for free this year. I usually run two TVs and the computer when the Jets aren't playing. Last week, I didn't notice lag, but there were problems with the online feeds. Half of them were going in and out or simply said unavailable. Frustrating to say the least. If I didn't have the TV service, I'd probably go with online streams or hit up a sports bar and stick with Red Zone for other games.
It sounds like they still have some kinks to work out with this. I'll probably wait until next season at the earliest to order it.
I've been watching the college games on ESPN3...I HOPE the lag and hesitation isn't as bad as that...and I average about 9mb download speed...so connectivity is NOT the issue. Hmmmm...now I'm worrying about paying $350 for a crappy service...crap.
Speaking of which, which 2 games do we get in the NY area at 1pm tomorrow? I have been trying to Google this for over a half hour now. All the listings just say "Regional"
This isn't the first year they've had Internet streaming, either. It's just the first year it's been offered standalone. They shouldn't have any more kinks.
