This is a pretty good press conference. Westhoff does a great job. He explains in great detail some of the special teams plays including Braylon Edwards' jump attempt at a punt block. Apparently they'll be doing more of these. Westhoff explains this for like 5 minutes in great detail. I really wanted to see Schotty say he was going to be more aggressive on downfield playcalling, but he didn't. Schotty actually said they liked that Sanchez checked down so much and they aren't going to change that. Ugh! For some strange reason there's no direct link to the Westhoff/Pettine/Schotty press conference, so if you don't see it when clicking on this link, look directly below the video: http://www.newyorkjets.com/photos-a...2e41#?id=7719a695-f2d4-4041-b4f4-d1790a7cafaf
Westy gave the reason why its there. If you jump over the line, you can't sneeze on the kicker. Shit happens. You can't tell the other team nothing happened in that circumstance. No matter what in that situation, no one is going to be happy no matter how its called. And I love how Westy made that reporter rephrase his question, because that dope thinks Hard Knocks tells you everything
I didn't get that at all! He said it's a good thing that Sanchez knows when to check down instead of throwing an INT but that he will be more aggressive the next game. He said a big reason why he didn't call more shots down-field was because he wanted to try to get the O into a rythm before doing that...
