Not a Jets' fan, obviously, but any time you can add a talent by buying low like the Jets did with Holmes, you have to do it. Holmes will be the Jets' best WR by mid-season, assuming Sanchez gets his head out of his ass.
Of course you are stop telling everybody it is sad that you would admit something like that. pats troll?
Those three plays give him 120, not 200. And the way our offense was playing I'm not possitive they could punch one in even after that Keller catch. And I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have come off a pass by Sanchez.
Without going into again, Mark started us out 3-0, had a couple of bad games and the CS ripped any shred of confidence he had left. It's amazing what people forget and expect given the circumstances. Even the almighty Favre didn't have 1 300 yard game in this offense. 1 year later on the Vikings look what he did. There was a reason that Favre wanted to be their in the first place.
... 12-23 passing (~50%) for 100 yds a TD and a INT. All that did was get us to the AFCG. How many people were bitching about his performance? Yes, we ran really well. That doesn't change the fact Sanchez did not put up good numbers. Cotch catches that ball, Braylon gets set, or Keller finds the marker, and we're not having this discussion.
I think he meant it as a figure of speech more than a literal reality. It would be a lot harder for me to complain about his performance if it had a W attached to it. I'd still complain, but it wouldn't feel like complaining.
Yeah, I'd guarantee the talk here would have been "Wow, we can win against a great team even if Sanchez has a terrible game! NO ONE WILL BEAT US NOW!"
Dude your original post said he would have had 200 yards, now you are saying 100. And I also said even with that pass to Keller there was no guarantee we were getting into the endzone, and even less of a chance of Sanchez throwing a TD. Obviousely winning fixes all, but it doesn't change the fact that even 12/23 for 100yrds is still a bad game.
Yeah, pretty much a figure of speech, because people hear would complain about sex with Jessica Alba. My point was I don't remember anyone complaining when he had that totally below average game against the Chargers. Maybe I am forgetting, or maybe it was just the general euphoria around here, but I admit I almost forgot he played so poorly.
Drinking early this Thursday? Stop reading every other word. I've already made enough attempts to make my point to you, and don't have the patience of some of the other guys on here. PS - The other guys got my point.
^I'll agree with that. I remember rewatching that SD game this summer on NFLN and being really surprised at how we looked. i remember the game as much different than how it played out. We didn't obliterate them like I originally thought. But I did have a few drinks to suport the cause. EDIT: I was responding to the post 2 above
Sanchez is a very demonstrative guy and it's not very hard to figure out how he's feeling by looking at him. He did NOT look confident on Monday night.
This kid can make the throws he's had flashes; He needs to become more confident ...comfortable...and consistent we all know that let him grow this year is not down the drain yet; just an undefeated season
