Rex gets his way...the NT is just as important in his defense as the CBs...the Jets will find another Kris Jenkins

But yeah, you saw and felt how insanely difficult it was for opposition to block Jenkins. He commanded double teams thus freeing up lanes for our blitzes to connect. Very important role on defense, Kris had.

I suspect the Jets will keep Kris around as a motivational and instructional guy.

He certainly will be missed, but like I said, the Jets cannot put off taking a NT in the draft any longer.

Oh..... yeah, my dissapointment is off the charts....

To me, it's close to losing Vinny... I just hate to see a guy go down like that.. And again, on the personal side, all the work and hard effort - for SIX FREAKING PLAYS....

Man, how does that guy sleep at night - I had problems sleeping. How does he not Put his fist threw the wall a few hundred times.

I'll roll the dice on that every single time.... I never look back at trades like that unless the guy just doesn;'t fit, doesn't have talent or has bad attitude.

When you have Kris Jenkins you are taking a shot at DOMINANCE and Greatness...

a 3rd round pick is much more of a gamble and that guy can just as easily get bent over and snap a knee.....

That wasn't an injury prone type injury... It was just luck of the draw....

I met Sarah.... She's a great girl... I was backstage at her show since my wife knows here booking people... She asks me, "Want a drink" I say.. Sure I'll take a beer... She was gone for about 15 minutes looking for a beer for ME..... Sheesh.. I felt so bad.

    But, she's the sweetest person...

SARAH WOULD CRY A FREAKING RIVER IF SHE HEARD THE KRIS JENKINS STORY....

    Thanks for the vid

Edit to add..... I just watched the whole video and i think a tear did fall down my cheek. :sniff:

    BEST WISHES BIG GUY!!!!!!

    Loved your play in Carolina.

Was ecstatic when you signed with us.

Very sad for you and your playing career when you went down on Monday.

Good luck Kris Jenkins, you are a beast..

I'm a lot more upset about losing Jenkins than losing a game 10-9 in Week 1. Especially after he worked so hard to get back on the field, to get rolled up on in the 6th play is just awful. Makes you hate the game sometimes.

    This shit is awesome.

Jenks was awesome, and I think there were a lot of intangibles (I typically hate using that word) that he brought to the team. Knowing what we know now re: his injuries, I'd still be thrilled to see this trade done again and again. He was DA MAN!

I invite you all the remeber him the way I will (and I think he would approve).

Every Sept 13th I will be going to subway and I will attempt to eat an entire footlong meatball sub with double meatballs.

SO in honor of the big guy you will try and swallow meant that's a footlong?

I think he'd prefer we heat a cookie in honor if his diet to get ready for the season.

Good luck with your meat search!! lol (j/k)

So sad to see him suffer an injury so quickly (into the season) considering the massive amount of effort needed to rehab & start this season. Hopefully, he'll get a chance to still appear in front of tv cameras. I think he's a funny guy & good charisma. Like others have said, perhaps one of the NFL pre-game shows...

Really, REALLY gonna miss Big Jenks. A dominant DT like him is very hard to find, and someone with his leadership and locker room presence. That said, I don't expect a dramatic drop-off from the defense. We lost Jenks last year too, and the defense still played well. Pouha is no Big Jenks, but he's good enough to get the job done.
