    I just have to say......
As a FOOTBALL FAN, my heart is heavy.

If I were a girl, I might cry.

After all the work the man did to come back. After HardKnocks, The Smile... Driving the Golfcart... THE POTENTIAL.Sheesh, as a Football fan, I just loved watching this guy play football. Not to mention what Rex could do with that guy in the middle of the D.

I feel the same about Bob Sanders - Damn, after all that work a torn bicep and a bent knee after 6 plays..

That's SAD. I know it's part of the game but, I can't help to feel for them....

I'll love Kris Jenkins for what he does on the field and how hilarious he is a person.

I'll miss the mountain of a man that dominated the line of scrimmage week in and week out.

Best to him, his family, and to his knees.

I'll miss the shit out of him already.

I think one of the biggest reasons why I'm still not over this loss is because Kris is gone for the season. I'm think I'm still in "breakup mode" knowing Jenks insn't coming back.

God Damn I love Jenkins. He has been my favourite Jet since Curtis Martin. I hope he can have a healthy life after football.

Sad to see him over come an injury just for it to happen again.

I didn't really know too much about him in Carolina and quite honestly didn't get too excited when he was acquired, but what a great player. It sucks that we only had him for such a short time. What a great impression he made in his short stay with us. Good dude, all the best to him in his post-football life...

Very sad to see this happen to such a good, hardworking man. He pumped his teammates up, one of the biggest things we'll miss this season

A real shame. If anyone didn't deserve this, it was big Jenx. Here's to hoping he has a full and speedy recover--if not for a return to his football career, but just so he can have a fulfilling life after it all.

    /thread.

You hate to see this happen to anyone, but to Big Jenks especially. I hope he sticks around with the team the rest of the season in any capacity that he can. I know they would love that, and I'm sure he would too.

Id love to see this guy get some sort of non playing position with the Jets.

Hes too young for retirement, and I know he loves it here be nice to see him stick around in some capacity.

Especially with the Jets having a whole new fresh crop of guys on the dline (either via PS,UDFA, or next years draft) I think this guys knowledge could be immensely useful in getting these guys ready to play some rex ryan football.

I hate to be that guy, but what exactly did he do for us? Not blaming the man for getting injured, but let's not pretend like he's contributed so much. One full season in 2008. Thanks, Jenks!

I going to shed a man tear. Big Jenks is the man. I hope he retires (2 ACL injuries in a row takes its toll). There is more to life than football.

Oh no doubt we def didnt get the 3rd and 5th round pick value for em.

Passed on drafting guys like Jamal Charles, Kevin Smith, Mario Manningham for him.

But before the rise of Revis and Harris this guy was easily by far the best defensive player on our team, and I hope hell help the new guys as much as he can. Because I know that just cuz he cant play doesnt mean he wont help this team win

I guess you could say he helped everyone buy into the 3-4...by showing that the system works with an actual NT...prior to that Mangini's 3-4 was dog shit and the defense sucked...morale was low...idk?

I get what you are saying tho...
