With all of the negative reaction to Monday night, I felt like sprinkling in some sunshine. I think this got overlooked - even in the "Unsung Heroes" thread. And if you think it doesn't deserve its own thread - it does. There are not enough good vibrations on this board, far too early. The darkside can't eclipse the sun after week 1 people! Here is a homegrown player who took a little while to develop a role on the defense but, has turned into a quietly solid player. I also look at his steady development with renewed optimism for Gholston's career. And if Monday's night an indication - he should have a great 2010. TOT SOLO SACKS TFL PD QB HTS TD B. Thomas 9 7 1.5 2 1 1 0
Thomas played well on Monday night he made some great plays. Lets hope that he can keep up the good play and be a solid OLB. I must admit it took me a while to get use to his new number I caught myself saying a few times "Who is this #58 he is doing a good job"
BT played well all last year, so this isn't a shock. Some people are just too hell bent on the underachieving BT to recognize this however he played lights out, career type game on monday.i expect that to continue
I really noticed his impact upon second viewing The way he, Ellis and Taylor were playing, we did not need to blitz nearly as much as we did ... Hopefully they keep it up
He played okay football last year, but he didn't make many impact plays. He was always solid vs the run but lacked speed coming off the edge. Monday he had an outstanding game, but I don't expect to see those kinds of games regularly from BT. I'd love to be wrong.
Thomas played one of the best games I've ever seen from him. It looks like he's totally comfortable in the system and really playing great football.
B.T might be in for a big season. Then again he always starts the season off good, Hopefully he can maintain.
He started improving his play that last season under Mangina. There were calls for his head from his first season until then. In 08 he became "servicable" and many of us called him. Since Rex came in he's proven to be a good to great player. Excellent run stopper and average against the pass. His stock has steadily risen since then. Now with a 2nd year in Rexy's system, he should be above average on all aspects. He was very underrated last year.
I agree he played great. Hopefully he keeps it up Also Jason Taylor played really well. He made 2 big tackle for losses in the run game
Yeah, I felt so fuckin dirty screaming out YEAH JASON TAYLOR, but he played well, so I'll give him props!
Bryan Thomas was an absolute beast on the field. His passion and play was at an all time high. Props.
I must be a contact year for him. He disappears for years at a time and then appears to play for his contract.
Considering the defense played the entire game, we still only lost by 1pt. Don't forget the refs spotted them 7. BT & jason taylor played really well, can't wait when calvin pace & pool contributes.
There was no name listed for her she is truly a mystery. And yes a cactus was mentioned in this thread.
