Can we have Revis convince Sean Gilbert to come back?

I agree he's a fuckhead, but (and I think I may have asked this earlier so pardon me for repeating) didn't we have to convince Jenks that he'd like playing 3-4 NT?

Meh... he doesn't want to play in a 3-4 at NT. Plug him in as an end and he'd have a lot of fun imo... With the "leave-no-stones-unturned" policy Tanny has I'm sure it'll be discussed...

Huh? Rogers played for the Lions and the Browns... no fiery coaches there...

    ?

Are you talking about Shaun Rogers. He never played for Pittsburgh, he was a Lion before he was dealt for a third and Leigh Bodden.

Who are you talking about??? Rogers played in Detroit before going to the Browns. He has played well in both schemes and just seems to need a change. He has never really been happy in Cleveland and if your looking for a guy I would target him. Why would anyone want Haynesworth? He was playing in roller skates on Sunday, plus he wants nothing to do with the 3-4.

Pretty sure we did. Just seeing what I saw of Jenks in the past call people out, and take a leadership role though, these guys are two birds of a different feather.

And someone else mentioned this and I agree. I'd like to cut out some spending until we're sure we can keep one of Cro Braylon and Holmes and keep Harris.

I agree 100%! And I think that's, for me, one of the more depressing things. You saw on HK how much of a leader and warrior Big Jenks is. Sucks to see him go, and to be candid, like you, I have NO faith in Hayensworth to be anything other than a waste and a jackass. But I guess you never know. (also agree with you about spending, though I omitted that)

It's all good. I mean I really don't see the problem with giving Pouha the job, I'm just worried about the depth behind him. But we're not going to replace what Jenks did any differently then how we did last year unfortunately.

Unless Mangini seeps some crazy-purple knockout gas into Holmgren's office to put him out of commission because he HAS TO HAVE James Ihedigbo we aren't getting Shaun Rogers.

Why would the Jets acquire a malcontent to play nose tackle when the guy hates playing nose tackle?

I don't think we would be able to afford a 40 year old Sean Gilbert.

I'm sure this has been said, but I'm too lazy to read the entire thread. Why not move Pouha to NT and bring up Jarron Gilbert?

I think Pouha has the job, I'm concerned about the depth, or lack there of

I think they should definitely get Haynesworth so Mevi$ has somebody to talk about his next holdout with.

If I remember correctly, Jenkins was happy to have a fresh start in New York and was looking forward to the challenge of learning a new position.

I don't think there was too much convincing him to play NT.
