Why the fuck would you bring back a guy that has blown every shot he's had? We go out and trade for receivers because he can't be one. And he blows on special teams. I would have rather had Coles til week 5. Edit: And Woodhead for the rest of the season.
Coles didn't want to come back, I'm sure he was their first choice. He said he didn't want to be a "journeyman" player because he doesn't need the money and it's not worth it for him.
It's a possibility Coles rejected because I saw an article before about Coles not wanting to be a journeyman, and does not need the money. He might be done for good. Edit: lol you beat me to it 624.
Why does this have to be merged with the Woodhead thread? Sure they relate but they are 2 different players and situations, one is coming and one is going.

Having only 2 receivers on the roster is a start. (Smith doesn't count because that's not how he's used) Check the rosters of other teams. Most list at least 5. Patriots have 6.
ok, if that was the case he should have made the opening day roster... shit you and I could probably play better... I know I'd at least be willing to play specials... this guy SUX... At least Woodhead works his ass off and was in on a tackle from what I saw on specials last night... Both Woodhead and Clowney's claim to fame is lighting up a bunch of second stringers, neither have much upside, but Woodhead at least has 1/2 a brain and works hard, Clowney just prays to god
