This was one of the reasons I really wanted Terrance Cody. I feel bad for Big Jenks considering he wanted to retire and Rex talked him out of it only to play 6 downs..... I hope all goes well with him and hope to see him get TV job.
I think NFL Network will give him a job. He was great as a guest commentator for them. Mount Cody would be a nice depth player right now, but Pouha is a legit NT and he proved that last season when Jenkins went down. I'd like us to grab a more athletic defensive tackle to pair with Pouha.
For the moment I have no issue with Pouha, but this means more than ever the Jets have to add Defensive line depth this offseason
Your right but why make fun of his son ? Whats up your ass ? Theres more to life then football "GURU" take a chill pill and walk up the stairs of your mothers basement and go breathe fresh air.
This is a message board, is it not? This isn't real life. We can all say whatever the fuck we want as long as we don't take it too far. I'm incredibly sorry that I upset a few wannabe bad asses from Jersey. Please don't make jokes about my mother or my unborn children. It would devastate me and I'd never post here again!
I'm not the kind of guy that said, "I told you so", but I said it all along back in 2008 draft --- get NT Ahtyba Rubin from Iowa St. Cleveland grabbed him in the 6th round. I'll try & dig up that mock I posted early April, 2008. But Dre Moore in the 2nd round is on that as well.
Isn't Shaun Rogers a 4-3 interior lineman, and a 3-4 end? Didn't his failure to shake off double teams start the trade rumors in the first place before Mangina moved him outside? I like our own overachievers, as opposed to somebody else's underachievers
Stay Classy! I keep telling people to move on and stay on topic, and for some reason no one seems to understand what I mean. Two days off. - Sundayjack
For the record, that's a cute kid (sorry jack) Pouha is just fine in my book, but I would not mind adding some depth, doesn't really matter where to me somewhere in the front 7 that's not a MLB. With the schemes Rex puts together we have a OLB getting down in a offset 3-4. According to that Incarcerated Bob guy the Adalius Thomas deal is 95% done, don't know how credible that it but he was definitely their today for a long time. If we had him and Pace comes back I'd be perfectly comfortable with that.
Swing and a miss my friend. Part of Haynseworth's problem in Washington is he doesn't want to play a 3-4. But mostly he's just a fuckhead.
Many on 660 and 1050 AM said we could possibly get him for a 4th if we want to pay a good chunk of his salary or a 2nd if we want them to pay a good chunk. ( There looking for a 2nd btw) Id be a little shaky getting him, hes a great player dont get me wrong but hes going to cost alot of money and if we wanna re-sign most of our FA's ( Cro, Braylon, Holmes, etc) then taking that leap maybe risky. And for those who said he hates the 3-4 , he stated that he is just fine playing in it as long as the players around him can support the D.
 Gotta say I was soooooo down on Pouha but last year made me a convert. However, not sure how he'll hold up an entire season at NT, which is essentially what he'll have to do now. Like E said, Mt Cody would have provided WONDERFUL depth but that ship has sailed. I'm not really sure what other NTs are out there, unless there's some hidden gem on a PS.
