Sadly, his analysis is 100 times more intelligent than what can be found in a lot of the threads around here.

How is that? Stating the obvious; Piling on when a team has an atrocious game. Please! He has no more intelligent analysis on the Jets than any other fan in this forum. Give me a break.

Yeah, what a joke to think Francessa knows what he's talking about. Maybe 10 years ago he had a clue, but he's grown disconnected and irrelevant. He now speaks in terms of his his preconcieved notions instead of a fair analysis of something that goes against his beliefs which would leave this poor dinosaur with brain damage

Well we should have seen this loss coming because the offence has been locked away in the kindergarten time out box. The best defence in the world won't get you anywhere if you don't try to score. I'm expecting major adjustments this weekend, everyone will be singing a different tune if the Jets can pull off a win. There's nothing new here, Jets are still going to the playoffs, and they have a better than most shot at the super bowl

I'm sure all you have to do is talk to any Pats, Phins or maybe Giants fans today to get the same analysis Mike provides.

Well for one, almost the very first thing he talked about as a key to the game was the failure to mix up the defensive play calling. They blitzed all night on third down and got beat all night. Very few talked about that here...

Another good point is that Ryan needs to remember he's the head coach not the defensive coach. He's responsible for all of it. Parcell's learned that after his first 3-12-1 season and never looked back...

well if he said that i guess I have to agree.....maybe once when it's third and +10 it might be a good idea to show blitz and drop off, maybe every now and then........you don't have to go balls out blitz every time.

Understood, however the Jets still held this team to 10 points (basically gave them the touchdown with the interference penalty). A lot of his arguments are Tuesday morning quarterbacking. All the Jets needed to do was execute one drive on offense and they could not do it. I have no problem with the defensive play calling....players have to execute. Again with all the mistakes they still had an opportunity to win with one successful drive.

A caller called in a few minutes ago calling our offense a "Prevent Offense."

Is it wrong to agree (for the time being)?

Have you seen all the locked threads...Have you seen the banned posters... Have you seen the Cesspool get more filled up...all since last night?

I'm not saying everyone's unintelligent. Plenty of people speak intelligently about the Jets on TGG. I'm not a Francesa apologist and I agree he's a smug douchebag.

I'm just saying that, particularly after a loss, there's rampant retardation 'round these parts. Surely you're not denying that.

I agree that not only fans but the media takes one game and they go overboard. I just saw some poll that ESPN just took....54% of those polled say the Jets will not make the playoffs. After one game!!! Huh.

Even if I accept that as fact, Fatcessa never speaks intelligently on anything because he's too biased to be objective.

There's only one thing left to do. We need to amp up the SB talk a bit more. That'll fix things.

Nothing Francessa said today (that I heard )was wrong.
He said Rex has a big mouth-check
He said Sanchez is completely unproven-check
He said our left guard position is crap- check
He said the all out blitzes on EVERY third down is too much -check
    He said we were unprepared-check

I hate him too but what can you argue about?

Mike is an idiot. The doom and gloomers here need to get their heads out of their butts. There is nothing wrong w/having SB aspirations and nothing wrong w/being condfident in your team. Tough loss. 1 pt difference to a very good Baltimore club. If Greene didn't fumble, we'd have won the game despite our poor performance. Need to improve. Get over it and move on.

    Coach Ryan is on 1050

WTF does that mean? A loss is a loss.

There are no moral victories here.

WTF does that mean? Greene did fumble.

If the Jets wore green jerseys, the Ravens would have worn their white ones.
If Pluto had an "n" on the end, it would be known as Pluton.
If the Oilers never left Houston, then the Houston Texans would not exist.
If cows could fly, they could kill you if they dropped some turds on your head.
