Look, I know you can spin this loss a million ways. You can say it's one game of 16. You can say the Colts lost, the Chargers are losing as I write this, and a host of other playoff caliber teams in the AFC lost. You can say we got screwed on some penalty calls. You can blame Schotty/Sanchez for playing in a skirt all game. For me, what it boils down to is that we as a fanbase deserve better than this. Rex talks about playing like a Jet. Well let's face it folks, our team played like Jets tonight. Last year for me it was the second Patriots game where I finally stopped screaming at the TV for another underachieving performance. This year it happened in the third quarter of the first game.
Rex Ryan has assembled one of the scariest defenses in the NFL, that's for certain. I love the way he calls plays on that side of the ball. However, for as good as we are on defense, we are that horrible on offense. I have never liked Schotty, and I never will. I can call running plays all day long and I'll take a pay cut so we can afford to keep Revis.

Rex has definitely gotten WAY too predictable. You just can't do that ALL the time against the better passing teams. They will make you pay.
Defense was brilliant tonight. Yeah we gave up a million 3rd and longs but they still forced turnovers and stopped them before they got deep in our territory. The Jets defense will never be accountable for any of the Jets losses this season. I'd rather see Sanchez try and throw a couple deep routes and suffer an INT a game than have him throw dropped screen passes left and right.
