I'm kind of surprised that Cumberland didn't make the 45 man roster, although it seems to make sense with the weather. We're in for a lot of running. Probably more than we'll usually see this season.
Carson Palmer didn't play at all in year 1 and he was the 1st overall pick of his draft class................
Good teams who build their rosters correctly can have 2nd rounders as projects. Although I don't think Ducasse will be as much of a project as people may think. D'Brickashaw was a project at first and he was a top 5 pick. In this case, we have the luxury of an established core on the line to allow him to develop. I don't really believe that Ducasse had a chance to beat Slauson out for LG. I also don't think that's the real reason they brought him in. It's just the reason that goes over well with the locker room, for the moment. It's not like they want to just announce that they drafted Damien Woody's replacement a year before he's leaving.
I don't know that's necessarily the case. I just don't think there's a place for him. We'll be going with two TEs for most of the game I'd guess, but one of them will be Hartsock (or we'll line Hunter up outside Brick) to help out on the left. With 6 'linemen' and even a single back, we're looking at 3 WR sets or 2 and Keller.
