excerpt from Moss's post game today:http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/nfl/news/story?id=5565114 For good measure, Moss also sounded off on the New York Jets and cornerback Darrelle Revis, New England's Week 2 opponent. Revis ended a lengthy holdout last week by agreeing to a long-term extension with the Jets. "There was a lot of talk last year -- and I'm not taking anything from him, he did some good things to be the shutdown corner that he is -- I'm not here to say that I prided my offseason on Revis," said Moss. "But like I said, I take pride in what I do. What he did last year, was something that, he opened my eyes up as a wide receiver. That there's a cornerback out here where I have to be on my 'A' game. I prided my offseason on staying off Revis Island."
I'm not sure which part of this I find funnier. The part where he yet again completely admits to being a slacker: or the part where he completely contradicts himself:
Randy Moss is a great receiver but I have zero concerns about him. I'm concerned about Welker. No Edelman this time, Wes is back with two TDs today.
Hopefully our upgraded secondary can do it this time. Wasn't it specifically Rhodes that they targeted with the matchup?
It should be a fun game next week. The Patriots can't do anything but pass. Our best attribute is shutting down the pass.
I can't wait for tomorrow but I love me some Jets-Pats action. Brady looked great today and Welker is back. This game will likely be very different than last year's home game against the Pats. Go Jets.
I kind of hope we put Revis on Welker to completely shut him down, and then Cromartie may be the only CB in the NFL that matches Randy Moss's freakish athleticism. Wilson can have various roles.
"prided my offseason"? Is that even English? I'm guessing he didn't make it to many classes at FSU or Marshall.
I saw his comments about him not having a great week every week and I thought THAT was Randy moss getting ready for Revis.
