I think this. Hes easily solidified that 4th WR spot, unless someone thats too good to pass on pops up.
If people were discussing a potential trade for Washington, they would have picked him up when he was waived. No one did, ergo no one wanted him. Who leaves a wanted running back on waivers, and then on the PS? They can still sign him off our PS, and maybe someone will in the case of injury. For right now? No one wanted him. "Built to win now" doesn't mean built to win only this season, especially when we've been locking up our core. Hell, I don't even think McKnight should be written off for the entire season based on what happened in the preseason. He'll practice, the CS will work with him, and there's a chance he becomes usable this season. It's happened before. Veeeerrrry recently, in fact. The Gholston comment is completely absurd. Let's compare a 3rd year player to a rookie. You couldn't at least wait for a few regular season games before making that claim? McKnight may never put it together, but the people writing him off or wanting him cut after the fucking preseason are absolutely ludicrous. For what? For Washington to sit on the inactive list instead of the PS and never play? That's worth sacrificing McKnight's potential for? Simply laughable.
I'm not writing off McKnight, but from what I have seen and heard he just doesn't seem to get it. Of course he should be given every opportunity to shine in the future, but right now hes shown exactly what Gholston did in his first year, hence the comparison, nothing to do with 3rd year. Lynn has said on more than one occasion that Joe is struggling, alot, and reading between the lines I don't think he believes in him.
Dude...Ryan Leaf had potential. And...eerily..an attitude like young Joe has evinced so far. Now...I'm on board with you, in that I'd like to see someone slap the living shit out of him, and get his ass moving..so he could realize his potential..... Sometimes..for all of us in life..that realization comes well after the fact. It took me 47 years to deadlift 405 off the ground...Am I more physically capable now than I was at 30...or just...smarter? I've always had the potential to do it....but.....
Depends. If they have several designed plays, you hump the $#it out of it. That's what NE does that makes Welker Welker. We don't seem to buy into the ...if you can't stop, we're gonna just keep doing it mentality, outside of the run game...
Ok, this post officially crosses the boundary of Too Retarded To Respond To. Same attitude as Leaf? This is really comedic stuff...
I don't report I only observe. And ..As I said...I'd like Joe to get his shit together. But...the "P" word, coupled with a poor attitude rarely spells NFL success. And yes..Ryan Leafs attitude was 'I'm too good for this shit' McKnight is not far from that... JaMarcus,Leaf,Bozworth whatever...and they were all more physically talented than our guy
