    This is EXACTLY the kind of guy that NYT article was talking about, too, a guy playing like there's no tomorrow, busting his ass and with a chip on his shoulder. I'm going to love seeing what we can get out of Dixon now that Rex has his hands on him.

    Agreed. I hope the kid makes it work here in NY. If anyone can get him to be an NFL lineman, Rex can.

    This is actually one of the better (original) Jets stories this year - great post! This should be bumped again and again today.
    I remember when this happened, but obviously forgot the kid's name so didn't connect the dots. I really hope he makes it here in NY - what a way to stick it to the people who railroaded him - to see someone they wanted in jail for 10 years end up a professional athlete in the greatest city on earth to BE a professional athlete. This story sounds very appealing for film/tv rights. The Hurricane meets The Blind Side. Movie adaptation in 3...2...1...
