My favorite part of the show was when Rex went off on Revis' agents, then walked out of the room. I have so much man love for Rex. He is the man. "Hey, you know what? I've been going at this thing the last several days. I'm gonna go coach this team, get them ready for Baltimore, so I'm done. You know the way the owner feels. I mean, I can't believe we can't get a damn deal done. It's a fucking joke. 3 years left on a fucking contract. Watch Monday night. Watch what the fuck happens." The other thing I love is Danny Woodhead. The guy just works hard, and makes the most of every opportunity. He's really turning into an damn fine football player. I also liked seeing Clowney get cut. Nothing personal against the guy, but when you are the #4 WR, you MUST play special teams. I hated seeing Chauncey Washington not make the final cut, because the guy can play. I don't think that he'll last on the practice squad; someone will sign him. He's a player, albeit a bit rough around the edges. Between him and Woodhead, right now I'd take Woodhead.
Does anyone else think that Revis looked like a bum off the street when he finally showed up back at camp? Not that I was expecting the guy to wear a tux, but a trim, shower and perhaps something "Jets" related on his person would not have been too much to ask.
How priceless would it have been if Revis hired some Hollywood special effects company and came back wearing a "fat suit," ala Nutty Professor?
No dude - don't watch. Was totally off center from what the Jets normally do. I suggest you boycott the season and this board as well....
Good fucking point - I was thinking the same exact thing when that shit came up. I've had a decent job for 16 years and still can't afford that shit!
Yeah. Too bad Practice Squad cash won't be able to cover the rent on a house like that. Some NFL players are just way too stupid. Save your god damn money until you've made it.
MT was interviewed and stated that Revis' contract has terminology in it that would prevent another holdout during the length of the contract. I think he settled for the deal knowing he didn't have a lot of leverage with the hope that in 3 or 4 years he will hit it huge on a new deal. 4 more years in Rex's defense and he should command a monster paycheck. When rex stormed out it was great..it was like he was taking the revis holdout as a personal insult to his ability to put a solid defense on the field.
i'm in a nice mood today so here it is. there is a thread literally right below this one that says hard knocks tonight-links though. http://www.wisevid.com/play?v=0t_u-wtwqbc6
