Yea but I never took the time to look at their schedule and after I did I laughed at myself. I now have the Jets and Giants going. I don't like the Cowboys chances. Any team from the West is to weak. The Vikings no. The Saints won't return. Idk the Giants just seem like the sleeper pick imo. They could have done a lot more last season but chocked it up big time.
So, let's trace the soxxx logic. The Packers are mediocre: But now the Packers are good, but the Saints are better: But the Packers are going to the Super Bowl anyway: At least he got one thing right:
If Raji can hold up and clog the middle the Packers D is going to be fine. Over-rated? I suppose if everyone is picking them you could classify them as that. However, they have a potent offense with one of the best young QB's, one that is poised to be a star. They are definitely up there with the Saints as the top team in the NFC.
Packers and Ravens are the trendy picks this year, just like the Dolphins were when they got Culpepper. How'd that work out again?
yes, the Packers and Ravens don't have a chance because Dante Culpepper sucked. at least we know typing is still possible after a lobotomy.
Dude seriously the Packers are the most overrated team in the NFL. Their D is terrible. I watch the friggin Seahawks shred their starters in the preseason and the Browns put 14 on em in the first quarter. Don't give me the it was against the back-ups speech, I watched those games and their starters were in. They may score 20 something a game but they will give up 30 something. When they play teams the actually play defense, they wont look so good. Sorry no Super Bowl for the Pack this year. They will be lucky to win their division.
Relax bud, I was just trying to say that the trendy picks aren't always right, comparing it to when everyone and their mother was picking the Dolphins to win it all back in 05. The Packers will probably do alright, but their O-line was atrocious last year and teams with shaky line play don't tend to go far.
That's straight bullshit about why did you pick an 8-8 team to win the super bowl cause I picked the Ravens to win it in 2000 after an 8-8 year and I was only 10.
the difference is the Pack and Ravens are being picked because they are seen as a team that has remained in tact from the year before and expected to continue its growth, which happens nearly every year. that is a huge difference from an average team that gets a new QB that is supposed to single-handedly be the difference maker.
Why all the hate? I think we have a shot but our qb chokes in big games so I dont know how that will play out. Im not sure about super bowl yet but hopefully we can get there.
Not that much hate really. A lot of us agree. Plus, you are on a Jets message board where our expectations are similar.
