Yeah, I know this crap shouldn't bother me, but did y'all see the NFL Preview in today's NY Post? I thought they were a little luke warm on the Jets and they over rated the Giants. I got The Sporting News football preview and they picked the Jets for 13-3 and a Super Bowl win. Granted, I think thats a little optimistic on the overall record, but Cannizzaro is saying we'll be lucky to make the playoffs? To quote paraphrase Mike Westhof: "Cannizzaro. Fuck him."

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, the jets...well, their the jets, until they are consistently playing exceptionally well they are not going to be given the props like other teams are.

Until we win the Super Bowl people are going to talk about us this way, you want them to shut up then shut them up by winning!!!

Good. I would prefer it this way. The less people taking us seriously, the better. Everybody and their brother is a Giants fanboy anyway.

They have the Jets going 10-6, which isn't unfathomable. They also have the Giants with the same record. Not unfathomable either.

I'm almost positive that it was Steve Serby who was making the predicitions today. The weird thing is, Serby's been saying for months about how he thinks we're winning the SB this year and then when it comes down to it, he has the Dolphins winning the division and us getting the 2nd WC spot and losing in the 1st round. Not that I care, but it made me scratch my head.

Yeah, I noticed that too. And I don't see the Fish finishing ahead of us.

You're right, but when you read the details it was a "weak" 10-6 for the Jets. He really hedged his bets like he expects us to suck. And I don't get this whole "oh geez, they've put a big target on their backs now. OOOOOO, they should be scared." Thats crap! Are you telling me that when Dallas was winning in the 90s or when the Steelers were winning in the 70s that they didn't have "targets on their backs"? Now, I'm not comparing the Jets to either of those Dynasties, but I'm saying that you win or lose on coaching and talent, not on some mythical "hate" factor.

Idk the Giants going 10-6 seems pretty damn unfathomable to me.

I think at best they go 8-8, and if they hit 9-7 they should consider it a miracle or an epic collapse from the rest of their division.
