Look, I'm about as big a fan of the miracles of modern medicine as they come. I believe in the medical field of today and the advancements made daily. I still don't understand how someone's bone is broken enough to have a doctor cut them open to repair it, yet they're able to recover in less than a month. There are only two things I can think of: 1) The surgery was only to remove chips and it wasn't an actual "break" at all. 2) Some new laser-based fusion procedure I have never heard of.
