That's not surprising. My guess is that the two other teams who have interest are the Browns and possibly the Pats.

Another tidbit & this is real shocking but a source in the building @ Jets camp confirmed 2 me that Jason Taylor would have been CUT if Pace

    incarceratedbob

If Pace was not hurt. Rex is totally pissed at his surely ways & he has showed them nothing at practice & in games. No burst whats so ever 5 minutes ago via web

Rex says Calvin Pace is "way ahead" of where he is post foot surgery. Noncommittal about week 2. CP is at team facility. #Jets #nfl 8 minutes ago via ÜberTwitter

Damn I guess Taylor will be gone soon enough. I thought he would be fine if his one job was getting to the QB.

If the rumors about Taylor are true then we'll be seeing a lot of Vernon Gholston early on...

The injury didn't look that serious in the first place.

This is a little surprising, but still, I'd be lying if I didn't say smile a little inside if we dumped his ass unceremoniously

    2 things:

    1) Wow on the Jason Taylor front. I admit I haven't seen much from him myself, but I'm a little bit stunned that he's shown that little to Rex so far. No wonder Miami wanted nothing to do with him anymore. It would be pretty funny to cut him. I wonder if Miami fans would ever forgive him long enough for a one-day sign-and-retire contract to mean anything.

    2) Can Calvin Pace really be that ready to come back? I'm still stuck on the fact that he had surgery. How the hell do you have a bone surgically repaired and make it back within 3 weeks? To me that's incredible.

It would make it even more sweet to win the super bowl if we cut him during the season. It would probably burn him up to know he was on the team that won it all.

Modern medicine is frightening. It's like the movie the 6th Day. They just made a new Calvin Pace

I would laugh until I realized what it meant. a) we're counting on him to improve our pass rush, b) we had to lose jay feely for him. I get that Feely isn't a great irreplaceable kicker or w/e but why fix what isn't broken? I'm hoping that incarceratedbob is actually wrong about this shit

Yeah, but he is either suspended or hurt to start the season. I do like Pace, though.

probably because of where the bone is in his foot.

about 7 years ago i hurt my foot when playing football. after a few days of pain we went and got an x-ray. it turned out that all i had at that time was a deep bruise but the x-ray showed an old broken bone in my foot that had never caused me pain and was fully healed.
