    Roster

The New York Jets have signed six players to the practice squad. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

C Robby Felix (6'3", 295) signed with the Jets on May 13 as a free agent, before being waived on Saturday. He was previously signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent on May 26, 2009, before being waived Sept. 5, 2009. Felix was a four-year performer at UTEP, starting 46 consecutive games from 2005–08. In 2009, he played for the Las Vegas Locomotives of the UFL in their inaugural season.

LB Ricky Foley (6'2", 252) was signed by the Jets on Aug. 31, before being waived on Saturday. He was signed by the Seattle Seahawks on Feb. 23 after spending four seasons in the Canadian Football League. Foley was a first-round draft choice of the B.C. Lions in 2006. In 2009 he was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Canadian after leading the league with 12 sacks and posting 51 tackles. Foley originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Baltimore in 2006, but was released before training camp.

LB Joshua Mauga (6'1", 245) was waived by the Jets on Saturday. He was originally signed by the Jets on Aug. 17, 2009, waived Sept. 5, signed to the practice squad Dec. 10 and released Dec. 18, before being signed to a reserve/future contract on Jan. 6. Mauga was a four-year starter at Nevada and in his senior year totaled 54 tackles, 7.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks.

WR Larry Taylor (5'6", 180) was originally signed by the Jets on Jan. 6. He played two seasons for Montreal of the CFL, averaging 9.9 yards on 137 punt returns with three returns for touchdown, and 21.4 yards on 80 kickoff returns. In 2009 he earned the CFL’s Most Outstanding Special Teams Player honor as well as being named a conference and CFL All-Star. In 2008 he led the CFL with 572 punt return yards after beginning the season on the Alouettes' practice squad. In his senior season at Connecticut in 2007, he had 25 receptions for 259 yards, 31 punt returns for 357 yards and two touchdowns, and 11 kickoff returns for 205 yards.

DT Martin Tevaseu (6'2", 325) was waived by the Jets on Saturday after originally being signed on July 19. He initially was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cleveland Browns on May 17 and was released on June 15. Tevaseu played defensive tackle for two seasons at UNLV. He played in 24 games, made 48 tackles and recorded two sacks. Tevaseu earned the Defensive MVP award for his team as a senior and participated in the East-West Shrine Game. Prior to his time at UNLV, Tevaseu spent two seasons at Santa Rosa Junior College.

S Donovan Warren (5'11", 192) was waived by the Jets on Saturday after being signed as an undrafted free agent on April 27. He started in 34 of his 36 career games at Michigan, posting 170 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, three fumble recoveries, six interceptions and 22 pass breakups. He was named to the 2009 All-Big Ten first team.

Not yet. The Jets were granted a roster exemption while signing Revis. Jackson will be waived, and then signed to the PS if he clears. Now that the PS is full, someone will have to be let go.

I thought the exemption allowed them to bring T-Rich back, and Jackson was already cut?

    EDIT--- never mind

I'd rather have Washington on the active roster than Woodhead (just in case Greene were to go down).

The exemption did allow them to bring Richardson back. They now have 54 men on the roster. Jackson will have to be waived when the exemption ends.

EDIT: I may have the numbers wrong. I thought we waived 3 and picked up 2, but we picked up Turner, Dixon, AND Brown. Jackson may have been waived after all. Looks like someone currently on the roster won't be soon.

Well if you combine that with this report from Rotoworld:

Then that makes for eight players on the PS. Rotoworld still hasn't added a source yet, though.

EDIT: The source was probably Jenny Vrentas on Twitter.

Yeah, that's 53. It doesn't include Dixon, though, who makes it 54. Someone has to get cut when the roster exemption ends.

Someone will need to be cut when the exemption ends (likely be Patrick Brown).....and someone will need to be cut when Tone returns (likely Patrick Turner.)

Gilbert, Warren, Foley, Washington, Jackson, Brown should imo, all be locks for the practice squd.....with Taylor, Mauga, Felix, and Tevaseu all battlin it out for the final two spots.

Sorry, was doing that off the top of my head. Forgot Dixon. It added up to 53, so I thought I was good.

Did your parents have any children that lived? I bet they regret that. I don't like the name Gilbert. That name sounds like royalty. Are you royalty. I don't like the name Gilbert only faggots and sailors are called gilbert.

Yea sean gilbert has ruined the name gilbert for me. Just because of his ass hat advice I now hate that name.

Can anyone list the 8 PS players? Some sites show Cody Brown in the mix & some don't.
