So what I get from the article is that Rex basically called everyone involved a slapdicked motherfucking piece of shit pussy, and then the deal got done.
This whole humble, living out of a duffel bag bullshit pisses me off. Shut the fuck up, hit the practice field, and shut Boldin down... ..because you bet your ass the Ravens will be targeting you Revis. Boldin's has had a full, productive training camp, he wasn't in the "studio making music"...
Don't look at it like 25 mil for a year. Look at it as paying him what he's actually worth this year, and in the last year.
He's still Mevi$ until he makes it through 4 weeks or so without a hammy tweak... I would say the mevi$ c*ckg*bbling crowd would be more fairly called the bandwagon fans, hitching their wagon to pull against the team... But in either case, right or wrong is a matter of perspective.
to the real Jet fans......he was never Mevis......ever. to the misguided pretenders.....i guess you can call Revis what you want.....chances are, you'll still be pointed and laughed at.
Interesting Now you're the arbiter of 'real'..... (pointing and :rofl2 He pulls a hammy week one or two, by not being in football shape (which no one wants to see happen...but is a real threat) and this thread will rocket past 20k. There were two sides in this argument. The Jets side. The Revis side. Picking against your team does not make you a real fan. At the end of the day...(for now...) looks like a win-win...but I'll reserve judgement for a few weeks.
Who was the poster who said his friend's uncle's nephew's cousin, or some s***, saw Rex knocking on Revis' door? Funny how no one believed him.
so if Revis gets injured....he's still Mevis? wow. EDIT: Plus...I never picked sides (I always stood by my opinion that I didn't want Revis's contract to cripple the team, but i never called him names...not once.)....Revis was always a part of the team in my eyes...he was stuck negotiating his "raise" that he earned. You and a few other circus clowns...decided he was selfish and threw him under the bus. It was pathetic.
He threw himself under the bus. At the end of the day he wanted to be treated like a FA without earning the right to do so. Not (simply, in deference to you) if he gets injured. That's an occupational hazard. If he suffers from the kind of injury that generally results in not being in football shape, specifically I'd worry about a hamstring injury.
how did he throw himself under the bus? His only flaw was that he hired a couple of douchebag agents. Bottom line: Revis showed he's the best CB in the league...he was grossly underpaid. So he did what any of us would've done if we were in his position....he asked for a raise....when he didn't get it....he went on strike. He was told by mgmt that he OUTPLAYED his contract....so that's a moot point....don't bother to use the old "he was still under contract" as an excuse.
one question is, 'would revis have gotten the same contract without a holdout?' i would guess the answer's, 'no'. but it's certainly debatable.
I doubt he would have. He still had 3 years left on his contract, so the Jets didn't have much of an incentive to give him a ton of guaranteed money.
