What I don't get is... if they're bringing him back less than 24 hours later, then his contract would still be guaranteed... what the hell was the benefit to cutting him to begin with?

It was a numbers thing. I love it. Tanny never had intentions on releasing him. I love it

 

I'd imagine the Jets tried to free up as much money as possible before heading down south to Florida for the Revis meeting. I think both sides met intent on making compromises for the common good, but I think either side would've caved just a little bit more if needed.

The contract isn't a back-breaker for the Jets, so T-Rich can come back. If it had been, he wouldn't be coming back. It's like Rex told Coles: "We want you here, we're going to have you here eventually, but the way our money is right now, you can't be here, right now." (Serious paraphrasing).

The Jets couldn't guarantee contracts to guys like T-Rich and Coles before the Revis deal was set. Now that it's set, I think they can. We'll see.

Bless his hard-hitting head, but I don't want John Conner playing fullback next week. I want a veteran fullback to play the game with one objective: pick up the guys that beat Slauson.

FLORHAM PARK–I confirmed through several sources that Tony Richardson is going to be re-signed by the team. No specifics on when.
