Yep, before I would want the team to spend $16M a year I would rather have him traded, but I was saying $10-12M was more fair from the start.

I was all for the team playing hardball just as they have ever since Woody bought the team and to a point they did.

I still would rather save the money on him and get two 1st and a 3rd round pick in a trade or as someone else suggested, a 1st and two 2nd round picks. It would have been better in the long run, but as it turned out this is better for us THIS year. I'll let you know next year after we see how many players we can't resign or even if there is football next seasn.

Well, plenty of people said they were planning to boo him. Something tells me they change their minds.

Joe Willie White Shoes pledged to throw fake money at him.

All I will say is it is about time!

I am still bitter about his selfish holdout but this team needs Revis and it is a good thing he is back!

You also said they should give him options of 10 years $120 million, 5 years $55 million, and 4 years $40 million or tell him he could sit out. Good thing you're not Tanny.

Thank god this is over with. I'm not going to lie, two days ago I lost hope and came to terms with Revis not playing this year. Great news.

Damn good thing we've got him back. We'll need every corner we can get on Monday. TJ Houshmandzadeh just signed with the Ravens.

Four years away is a long time away. A lot can happen to sway the decision one way or the other.

Somewhere in New York, Rex Ryan is masturbating furiously with a ham sandwich in the other hand.

Yeah. This does start to look a bit like a good faith bump. I doubt we'll have as much trouble getting him signed in 4 years, provided that's the direction the FO wants to go at that point.

When I heard the news I was at a party, I then proceeded to chug beers and get absolutely hammered with my fellow Jet fans, yesterday was a good day

I still feel kind of bad about T-Rich though

One key here is that it makes him the highest paid non-Nnamdi corner (and likely the highest paid period next season) only for the life of Clements' contract. I'm sure that was a key. He's not getting locked in at that rate for the long term, so when Clements negotiates with a year or two left, and other corners have likely moved up to or beyond that value, Revis will have a number at which to negotiate once again.

Graziano just taught Cowlishaw the fine art of ambiguously prescient journalism.
