I don't know why anybody would really hate on Revis still and say they won't cheer him. Thing about it.. he missed ZERO games for the Jets. He signed a full SEVEN days before the first game. So he didn't play in the preseason and missed training camp? So freaking what.. this guy will be ready to play week 1 and after shutting down Boldin, Moss, and Marshall in succession everyone will be back cheering him like nothing ever happened
This is great news because it doesn't kill our salary cap situation. We might be able to sign some other key players after the lockout.
I still don't understand why he couldn't wake up weeks ago and I never will. I hope he continues to be the best defensive player in the NFL although repeating last year will be extremely difficult. I still lost quite a bit of respect for him because of this episode. Sorry, but that is just how I feel. Happy, but disappointed and confused as to why he felt the need to hold out and screw with the FO and his team.
Yeah, true. It all comes down to the fact that Revis is a cornerback and what the market value is for respective positions on the field. It's simple, Quarterbacks, left tackles, and dominant D-linemen get big contracts

Good for Darelle in getting this done. As some of us had been pointing out ad nauseum, Darrelle simply didn't have the leverage for the deal that he was peddling or for holding out and it was time to get this done. Nice job by Rex and Mr. T to finalize.
