Do we want him for some back up on the D line? Right now we have Ellis Jenkins Pouha Devito Pouha Kroul Gholston Im fine with Devito Jenkins and Pouha as our Rotation. It is probably tops in the lg for 3-4 defenses but if someone goes down it gets iffy. If we were to sign him whose spot do you think he takes?
He would most likely take the spot of that other DE we just signed (Dixon?). However, I don't see the Jets bringing him back. They had all off-season to bring him in before the Phins signed him.
I'd like to see another position get reduced if we are going to rent him for one more season. I don't think we are, because Kroul as the potential and versatility Ryan wants for the scheme they run. Kroul will see the field this year. He won't be an inactive that much. If they want to cut Brian Jackson or someone else to resign him, so be it. I don't think he comes back though. Unless they wait so that his contract isn't guaranteed.
