He was in Miami for 2 years. Unfortunately for us, he does know it. This kind of thing is done by everybody and I doubt it ever has much impact on the game. So, whatever I guess. Guaranteed he is cut by the Tuesday after Week 3. Lol.
with all the guys we are supposedly bringing in after week one, i expect him to be released 20 minutes after we beat down the Ravens on Monday night.
Yeah Miami too. We already got killed w/ that approach with David Martin going to Buffalo and I bet the same will happen with Marquis Douglas and Charles Grant. BTW, the Ravens won't be the ones getting beat down that Monday Night.
Truth be told, right now I think the ravens offense is better than the Jets, which would of course be the difference in the game, Except for one factor. It's the home opener. But not just any home opener, its the opener of the new stadium, against Rex's former team. Rex is going to do absolutely everything he can to make sure we win that game. With the new stadium rocking at max capacity, at the loudest it might be all year, combined with the excitement the players have for that start, there is no way we don't come out with more energy and excitement than Baltimore and do to them what we did to Cincinatti in that murder we comitted to "back into" the playoffs. The score might not be like that, but the shear domination in the trenches damn sure will be.
How come we're waiving all these guys to pick up randoms? I thought we were pretty much at the final roster?
I'd think whoever is in the last WR spot is gone week 2 when Coles comes back, then someone else goes week 5 when Holmes is back.
We know what wee have with Clowney and it ain't funny. Turner we can take a look at and he is a tall WR something we lack, besides Edwards. If Turner doesn;t look good we can alway get Clowney back. Too bad Clowney couldn't do PR and KR.
The truth? The back half of the roster sucks and they think they can upgrade it a bit with waiver wire guys.
I agree that it's a huge factor. To be honest, that's the only reason it's close. I can easily see the game being a 10-6 type of game.
While it definitely is a factor, I don't think it's fair to say "that's the only reason it's close." They are 2 good, similar teams.
Meh...The Bills are the 2007 Dolphins. They have enough "playmakers" on offense to tease you in the Pre season, but the reality is that they just don't have the foundation (QB, line play, coaching, culture), to be able to compete or beat a physical team like Miami. I doubt Buffalo wins more than 2 or 3 games this season. Not kidding, I'd be surprised to not see them on the clock for next year's draft in January.
Yeah he can tell you how the bench feels.....maybe Sanchez can light a fire under him and bring back some of that USC glory...
Obviously we'll disagree with how good the Jets really are. But this is a Baltimore D that was very good a year ago, and had several key players have off seasons (Ngata, Suggs, Gregg). Ed Reed not being there will be big, but I still think Baltimore has the best D in the NFL (with a Revis-less NY). Then offensively, Baltimore should be one of the most balanced attacks in the league. In the end I think that the Ravens' offense is better than NY's, and they are able to put 1 or 2 TD drives and score just enough to win. If I'm NY, I'm concentrating on setting up a big play down field to Edwards because I don't see them moving the ball or scoring consistently on the Ravens' D. I think they need to hope they get 1 or 2 big plays that result in scores and hope that's enough for NY's defense to win them the game.
in order to do that, we have to shut down Ray Rice. I have faith in the pass defense, but the run defense is the weakest link in our defense
Well if you look at it that way, we only have 2 links to our defense. Run D and Pass D. Judging how we had the best Pass D in the NFL last season I don't think saying our run defense is weaker necessarily means it is bad.
well no, but I have the same concerns in stopping ray rice, I did in slowing down Chris Johnson last year. You have to realize, he is going to get his, but the goal is containment, and don't allow the big game changing run to happen. I really feel that if you shut down ray rice, the ravens offense will be worthless. Boldin is an elite #2, but i don't think he can really go off on #1 cbs having fitz on the other side has really helped him in the past. Also I think this is the year Mason finally hits that wall, and just can't produce like he could in the past.
Weak link is relative. The pass defense is outstanding but with a healthy Jenkins the run defense won't be far behind.
