You're a freaking idiot. What the fuck have you accomplished in life that comes remotely close to what Broadway Joe has accomplished???

I'm pretty sure 100% of today's Christians never saw Jesus Christ walk on water either, but there's just something charismatic about those stories for future generations to revel in and subsequently, live vicariously through.

    I'm not tired of Namath.
I'm tired of Jets fans who think the team has only existed since 1997, fans who think players get paid with THEIR money and foreign car owners who proudly display an American flag in their windows.

Hahaha. Did anyone else get this reference?
Maybe if they built better cars that don't die at 10 years with 87k miles on it...
Couldn't find a picture that wasn't from a French website? Kind of takes the toughness out of it.

Joe Willie is the only thing keeping this franchise from being a laughingstock from franchise start to finish. I'll always respect him for that and for the way he changed the game. I do get what 17a is saying about being tired of getting reminded that we haven't won in 40 years. That's not Joe's fault, though.

I also understand that guys like champ, who experienced Joe, will have a reverence the rest of us will never have. I remember champ's story about how, when he was a young man, he gave Joe his Black Cherry soda. That shows the significance, the impact Joe had on champ's bottom line for this franchise that he still talks about it to this day.

On the minus side: he never had a haircut you could set your watch to.

On the pro side: he did this [IMG]

Joe Namath was, is, and will be cooler than you can ever hope to be.

And his daughter is hot. Sanchez probably crushed it multiple times while Joe was talking about fumbles.

17a will be addressing your concerns @ his tailgate Monday night v. the Vikings.

I get what you're saying 17a, but the one thing about the Jets is tradition, and Namath illustrates that tradition.

IDK, I love Namath, he has a spot on 1050 every Thursday I love listening to.

This has to be a joke. You can't possibly consider the daughter who was on Hard Knocks hot. His other one? Absolutely.

There is nothing hot about this:

I know I posted this video before, but for most younger Jets fans, Joe will always be the Wiz!

I definately feel sorry for some of the less educated fans who are clueless as to how great a leader and a QB Joe was. Larger than life, incredible athlete, an amazing passer, hilarious personality, definition of a ladies man. One of the all time greats w/o a doubt. Best Football Player in New York Jets History.

Here is a great true story: About 10 yrs ago All Pro LT and Super Bowl Champion Winston Hill was injured in Colorado where he was living and where his restaurants are. He had one of those tire blowouts on his SUV. He was in the hospital, recovering from his injuries. Who was one of the first people to call him at his hospital? Joe Namath. Basically Joe told his former bodyguard that Winston had better get better and get himself up outta that bed asap b/c Joe still needed the big man to watch his back and keep him safe. To put it mildly, Joe's call made Winston's day... That is the kind of person Joe Namath really is.

I still like Joe. Without him we're the Browns, not even the Browns, really.

He does need to fix the wardrobe and the haircut, though.
