Sanchez is clearly the most important.

All of the players you listed are certainly or arguably more important than Revis.

Right. If we lose Sanchez, the season is toast. Not because he's amazing, but because he's had the most time with the coaches and receivers. Brunell/Clemens wouldn't be able to catch up to that, and if they did it would be too late.

The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (10 Days Until MNF)

As soon as Week 1 comes, if he's not here, I'm done with this thread.

Isn't there some sort of deadline today for Mevis's agents about their other holdout Vincent Jackson?

I hear you. I feel like I need to go on Intervention. Every day I say to myself, I will not go to the Revis thread today, yet here I am...

It's remarkable to me how this point seems to be constantly overlooked by those who say "Pay Revis and the Jets can start winning Super Bowls." Unless Sanchez takes a major step forward the Jets aren't winning any Super Bowls, whatever Revis does. By extension that makes Mangold and Ferguson probably more important than Revis, and it's no coincidence that the team has locked them up.

Being the (arguably) best player on the team doesn't make you the most important, one of many miscalculations that Revis and his team have apparently made. They also seem to have failed basic math. Despite what many of the idiots in the media keep saying, Revis isn't giving up only $1 million by not playing this year, since the Jets made it clear from day one that they didn't expect him to play out his contract starting this year (that's what they actually said to him). It's obvious that by any deal he would get at least $12 million for this year, maybe more. Given the way NFL contracts are structured, what are the chances that he ends up getting all of that back by holding out and missing an entire season? And that doesn't even consider the endorsement money he is forfeiting. I have to admit that I find his strategy completely incomprehensible.

The most important player on the Jets (aside from GQ) just might be Slausson. If he fails and gets GQ hurt because he takes a big shot, like in the pre-season game against the skins, the Jets are fucked.

Dude stop already. Do you read what you write? We were done with this and yet you come back the next day, yet again with the same nonsense.

I provided your quote. So knock it off.

Interesting poll over at sports nation... they asked who will play in a game first, big ben or revis... ben got 52 percent of the votes... obviously 48% of the people voting are delusional.
