i don't believe a trade is imminent....I think the Chargers just took a dump on VJax's plate, imo. They got Crayton on the cheap.....and he's easily a starter on most offensive squads (The Cowboys are deep at WR).
I heard on NFL radio that the Vikings might make a push for him. Considering their current situation and how they are a win now team that would be a perfect fit.
I heard the Vikings stopped the pursuit....because the Chargers asking price is ridiculous. The were talking about this on NFLN
Why can't Revis and his dumbshit agents figure out that he will make way more money in the long run by accepting a fair market value in the media capital of the country and make a shit ton more money in endorsements. When he gets traded to Kansas City or Cleveland or some other smaller market, he won't get the endorsement money that he could by playing in New York. He's not fucking Peyton Manning where he can be a superstar in a small market, I mean did you see the commercial he did?
The Jets asking price is RIDICULOUS too. Apparently if a team wants to trade for Revis, they have to pay him $160 million! Can you believe that nonsense???
Oh that sucks, I was kind of hoping to see that. They were going into detail about how the owner needs to win now, to get a new stadium or he'd consider moving. The moving part might have been a caller though.
They said the Vikes were looking at VJax before the Camarillo trade....they didn't like the Chargers asking price....and went with Plan B (Camarillo) instead.
The perfect scenario would be Revis ditching his agent for Rosenhaus and signing within 5 minutes. Can't happen though.
Wouldn't it be great if the Jets, SD, Dallas and every other team are all out at this point to fuck over S&F and all of their clients because of the shit they're pulling? With the Revis and Jackson holdouts being epic fails this year, with the same agents, at the same time. Other teams have taken notice. I really think these two guys have pushed this way too far and are screwing themselves out of their careers. Oh well, I won't feel bad when they're gone.
yes...i think you're right. so basically...a 2nd, 3rd, and an expensive contract. Hefty price when you you don't know what the landscape of the new CBA is gonna look like.
My hope is that Drew Rosenhaus or some other competent agent...makes that cold call to Revis and tells him "if you want something done at fair market value and you want to play football this season, here's my number, kid. Give me a call".
