I thought that was a weird thing for them to say. I don't understand why they would need extra money if Revis returned on his original contract. If they had to pay him $40 million up from or something, then maybe, I guess, but his original contract is only for $1 million this year so why the worry? The only thing that made sense to me was that they were hamming it up for the cameras.

If there isn't significant ground made in the revis negotiations, one side is going to just say fuck it we're down with you and we no longer will do bussiness together. I think those feelings will start to boil if things don't start moving along by the start of the season. But I think the breaking point would be if the Jets are winning by mid season (think 5-3, 6-2 or better) and say "Revis we love you, but we can't justify paying you immense dollars to play for us any more." Revis could then take that as a slap in the face, and decide fuck the jets, trade my ass im never playing for them again.

Hehe... nice I think if a team offers us adequate compensation for Revis he should be traded (that is if he sits out the year) but if there are no serious bidders (at least a 1st and a 2nd is needed) then yeah the Jets should take a stand.
