The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (11 Days Until MNF)

Football existed before, but Revis freed it from sin.

Revis without him, the defense seems nothing. As he is the face of the defense.

i made a simple clear concise post summarizing the situation in the first Revis thread before that one hit 5,000 posts. fast forwards another 15,000 posts and two threads and the situation is exactly the same. i would look it up to repost for clarity but it will be buried shortly just like this under the idiotic Revis circlejerk/ lynch mob spectrum thats developed since this hold out

this has become a method of people excercising their ego's by picking on the obviously moronic posters and the now commonplace posters coming out the woodworks with even worse ideas.

the defense is not NOTHING without him. thats absurd. were still a top 5 or top 10 defense without revis just because of our Rex, our talent at LB, Jenks, Ellis, and Safety alone.

Revis takes this defense from the respectable level, to scary level.

the problem with this is the season depends on Sanchez. and being QB is always easier as your defense gets better.

fast forward to the end of JETS WORLD as we know it. or at least according to half this board

If it wasn't pro-/anti-Revis it would be pro-/anti-Sanchez or pro-/anti-Schotty. There has to be some kind of mania that accompanies the beginning of a new season. It's fear that accompanies high expectations. This year they are higher than normal.

yeah Revis return was edited from the Kings James version of revelations.

now we have to settle for Drew Coleman going door to door for reverance

And the fear is higher than it otherwise would be because he's holding out.

It's so high you can smell it. It can't be ignored. It dominates. It is everywhere.

It even prevents us from getting sleep.

At least it has yet to affect my sex life, but I can't speak for others here. That would not surprise me at all.

Why would it be in Revelations? It's in the 4 gospels of the New Jetstament. Get ready. We're at the point now where he's getting crucified because of some Jews.

I can't wait for Geiger to cut someone's ear off.

I heard they closed Park Avenue because of a suspect veichle... maybe Revis keeping Manhattan hostage for more guaranteed money?

Getting rid of him via injury would be our best situation? Darrelle Revis getting injured would be the best situation for this team?

    How old are you?

best thing that can happen is actually if the Jets were to trade Revis to a divisional rival such as the Pats or Fins for 2 first rounders, and a borderline pro-bowl player, and then Revis all of sudden finds glory in christianity and declares retirement to become a reverend.

The best thing that could happen is that Revis signs soon, suits up and dominates again and all of the Mevi$ people start pretending they have loved him the whole time.

the best thing that can happen is if the jets win the super bowl without him, get 3 first rounders next year for him, get 4 pro bowl players with those picks and win the next 10 super bowls in an uncapped league.

It would also be funny if Revis were to be traded to another team, signs with a huge bonus and actually gets injured on the first game he plays with them...

C'mon St. Louis and Detroit... fix your awful secondary with Revis Christ!

I agree it'd be sick to get 4 pro bowl players with just 3 picks.

    Tanny could do it.
