I think if we played a more conventional style of defense, the answer to your question would probably be yes. The problem is, the crux of our pass defense is throwing the kitchen sink at the quarterback and trusting our corners to lock up opposing receivers long enough for our blitz to make the opposing quarterback get rid of the ball before he is ready to do so. Simply put, having a cornerback who can legitimately take the other team's best WR out of the game on every play is a HUGE advantage when trying to run Rex's system. If Revis doesn't play, I just don't see us being as successful on passing downs without Revis as we were with him last year.

I once had (or so I thought at the time) to bet $8,000 that I didn't have on the Dolphins because I was down $8,000 for the weekend. That was their 1 win season. They covered by 1 point. I don't bet on sports anymore.

I agree, but with the addition of Jason Taylor hopefully our pass rush will be improved over last year on passing downs. Also, the return of Jenkins should improve our run defense which was not great after he left. Our defense will still be among the best units in the NFL without Revis but man would it be nice to have him out there (and I think he will be).

I think Revis will be back when he needs money to support his family.

guys i for one believe our defense will be better than last season with or without revis, we have jenkins back who will command a double team, we have taylor on the outside, ellis is there poole is a playmaker as is leonhard.....they will be able to get to the qb more so then last year. Last year we basically covered the qb to give ourselves enough time to get to the qb, i think its going to be the opposite this year, we gona get to em as quick as possible to he doesnt have time to find an open wr(they will be out there in 3 and 4 wr sets, which is the only way they can have the ball moved on em)

dunno man. Pace is out, and if Revis holds out..thats a pretty big blow. I dont even think Revis can do what he did last year.

Why would we give him so much guaranteed and then trade his ass? We would be on the hook for that money
