Awwww man, come on. That was half the fun. I was predicting that he'd be spotted banging a water buffalo today.

I'm just pointing out ways this effects the team. Knowing the defense on paper and playing in it are two different things. I don't doubt these guys can be good.

Update: At one time, I saw Darrelle Revis on the football field on TV. I would assume at some point, I will see that again.

Talking about Revis to the public sure. Talking to him in private, I highly doubt Woody and Tanny said "don't talk to Revis". If anything, they probably encouraged it. I made a post a couple days ago about Revis going to mini-camp and somebody told me he attended for Rex. If that was the case, why would Woody and Tanny want Rex to not talk to Revis?

He hasn't cost the team any games yet.....so unless he's hurt somebody's feelings on the team.....i don't see how that isn't fact, and not just my opinion.

You could make the case that if Revis does come back and Wilson gets pushed to the nickel that he didn't have the opportunity to get many reps at that position in training camp.

Unless they've had some kind of breakthrough in the negotiations, I don't think Revis's agents are going to let him talk to Rex now that Revis is holding out. You hire an agent to be the tough guy and do your talking for you; you risk destroying your leverage if you have the players having meeting with senior team officials.

Or that he deprived Wilson of a full TC to learn from the best CB in the game.

If Mevi$ isn't there on opening day I am going to write to all the sponsors that pay him (and his agents) $$$$ and tell them I will not touch any of their products as long as they give him a penny. If they get an avalanche of those letters they will take notice and hopefully drop him like a hot potato. Not that they're happy now about paying someone whose main athletic effort is going to the fridge for a beer and more nachos.

By that logic he could take an uzi to practice today and wipe out the entire team without hurting the team. It wouldn't have cost them a game yet, right?

...are you really going to bitch about that?

It's not Darrelle Revis' job to tutor Kyle Wilson.

Wilson is a hell of a talent at the position already - it's the job of the position coach to get Wilson ready to play at this level.

I'm sure having Revis in practice would help the rookie out, but it's just not his job to coach up Wilson.

    No Champ. This happened yesterday.

To all other posters who criticized my post, what I wrote 100% happened. I'm not someone who would make anything up, and anyone who has read my posts since '04 should know that.

With that being said, all it was was a friendly update and a cool story. I never asked for an update to the name of the thread because I'm no reporter and it shouldn't be taken as a credible source. You can put this information at the same level as any report made by Tim Cowlishaw.

I'm using your reasoning. You seem to think he cannot have any negative effect on the team unless they lose a game first?
