Right. I had myself thinking differently when I read Tommy's post. I'll re-type what I originally said: There's no reason to make a cut in advance of an anticipated Revis signing. They can cut someone once he actually signs and before the contract is filed and approved. Doing it a few days in advance of a potential signing is risky.
I agree... but if they had cut one more guy it would've been possible to read something into it... this way it means nothing new on the horizon. Oh well, I'm actually disappointed about Wright... guess he just didn't have the work ethic to win a job. At this point I'm guessing Kroul is a near lock to make the final 53...
No surprises. I was talking to my boys over the last 2 weeks- WTF is up with Coles, basically invisible. For someone trying to make a roster he didn't try hard enough. LATER
It might be a move to benifit the player.Coles is probably better than a fair number of players who survived this wave of cuts,by releasing him now,it improves his chances of getting picked up by another team who might be thin at WR. I'm surprised about Rod Wright,I feel he had a good couple of games against the Giants and Panthers. As others have said,we must like either Kroul or Steinkuhler.
I'm not surprised at all, I didn't want him in the first place. Mambo, they'll just cut Jackson when Revis comes back. If he does that is.
Agreed... I was just hoping they'd trim down to 74 instead of 75... meaning a Revis sighting would be imminent... but that's not the case I guess. PS They'd probably cut one of the S before they cut Jackson... I think he's a PS candidate.
Not surprised, actually figured w/his concussions it was already a risk. He looked slow and logically if we are going to run the ball the extra WR is not really a big deal especially w/ multi position players like Smith, and Lil Wood in da hood (if he makes the roster). I was really rooting for Allison though
