I'm most surprised about Rodrique Wright. We're pretty thin at DE. I'm not sure releasing him was a good idea.

I love the scene from hard knocks when Rex is raging after Ropati got hurt and he runs up to Rod Wright and screams at him "So you wanna make this fucking team or what!" and Wright is like "yeah, sure coach". Guess he didnt wanna make the team.

Also suprised by Coles over Clowney I find Clowney to be a waste of life.

Not surprised by any of these actually. It's pretty interesting that we released three wideouts though...I wonder if we're bringing someone in.

Rodrique Wright obviously isn't worth a shit if he can't even hold on to a spot AFTER Pitoitua went down.

Matt Kroul will probably make the active roster now.

The Coles release just tells us that the coaching staff has more faith in David Clowney and Brad Smith. I have no problem with this move.

Marcus Henry and Aundrae Allison were and always will be camp bodies.

Me too. Tells you how confident they are in Smith, Keller, and LT out of the backfield.

He always looked depressed every time I saw him on Hard Knocks.

Well, the Washington/Woodhead/Clowney group may yield two on the active roster now.

Yeah, I don't think there's any doubt about that now.

Clowney and Woodhead most definitely...unless we bring in another wideout, which makes sense after cutting three today.

I have a feeling Danny Woodhead is the reason Coles was released.

Washington really has no value, even as a special teamer.

Especially if his role is going to be as a tackler. That's what guys like Laury would be better served doing.

How can you go from #1 WR looking for an extension to not being able to make the roster in less than 2 years?

That's exactly my point. If the staff wants a heavy hitter on special teams, they'll go out and get another linebacker.

Cummings, Westerman, and Laury are our best bets right now. John Conner can also play a similar role on special teams.

Matt Mulligan has a good shot at making the team as a special teamer. It's really a competition between him and Cumberland, and Mulligan is miles ahead as a blocker.

It's possible we bring in another wideout, but the position was cluttered before the cuts. Given that Edwards/Cotchery/Smith/Holmes are certain, Clowney could easily be that 4 week replacement while the CS keeps Woodhead around for his versatility and cuts one of the two when Holmes returns.
